Their service in the North East, at least around me, was pretty pathetic when I had them.

Same here - and I've used just about every cell service with the exception of T-Mobile. Verizon, at least for me, has been the most reliable.

*shrugs* Around here, AT&T is very solid. I can't say the same about other carriers.

And yes I have a huge tower right on the roof of my dorm. And also very good coverage at home.

At&T (Cingular... when I signed they were SNET) was the worst provider I had.

Ive had Verizon for about 4 years, and they are the most solid.

i also has Sprint for a bit, and they were good in urban areas, but out in the boonies (like my apartment) they wont work period.

apparently i've been reading about stuff that's suppose to be related to the software... treble spike and all. most of the reviews seem to indicate that they are waiting for an update... but i'm not sure if that ever happened.

T-Mobile used to be the shit of the shit, but now they're better. AT&T was better a year or two back, but it's gotten worse. Verizon isn't what it used to be. Sprint is pretty bad, to the point where I'd say they are the worst in NYC, therefore Nextel's just as bad (=[ I want a nextel again).

You understand nextel uses the same network they've always used? The reason carriers in ny have trouble is because there are so many people carrying around 2-3 devices in ny. That many devices in that small an area will overwhelm any carrier.

I have had a phone form every carrier, and there is a reason I have stuck with Verizon for 4 years, and it's not because of their handsets. ::)

I know that. I had a nextel for 6 years and it's reception progressively got worse year after year.

I hear the upcoming v-dock + iTouch will rival $1750 CD players. ;)

lol...awesome.

I hate At&t with the passion of a thousand suns! That is the only reason I don't have an iPhone today.

EdipisReks,

How does one become a High Roller? I don't understand how the different levels work around here. Is there a sticky that explains everything, or do you just have to learn for yourself?

You get to be a high roller after you request a custom title.

How do I do that?

Now I have to think of something clever....hmmmm.

"Pretentious Twattle."?

Really? That's not what I asked for!

But it is funny, I'll give you that.

Here's a hint, asking for one will likely get you one you don't want.

I think I've figured that much out by now. lol!

i was feeling pretty friendly when i made that custom title, maybe i'll feel like an asshole later, and make a revision.

Looking forward to it.
