April 17, 200620 yr Just saw this over on that other forum: http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2062510&postcount=5 Looks somewhat interesting but I'd like to hear comments from the more technically inclined members here.
April 17, 200620 yr Certainly looks interesting, especially if the price is right... I promise you the price wont be right
April 17, 200620 yr There is at least $600 in lundahl transformers alone. This is not an otl amplifier, and sure looks to be single ended output drive. Nothing at all like a gsx or balanced singlepower. And probably sounds nothing like them either. Just a wild guess, but this is around $3000.
April 17, 200620 yr Seems to clock in around 2200 for the normal version, I wonder how it'll compare to a balanced sp amp or even a bamaslama.
April 18, 200620 yr Looks like a transformer phase-splitter on the input, and I can't make out between that and the transformer outputs.
April 20, 200620 yr Love the huge knobs in the front. LOL. So who's going to take one for the team and get one when it's available?
April 20, 200620 yr FYI - pricing information... The Standard Unit wil be in the low $2000 most likely $2200. The Max or SE version will be in the high $2000, maybe $2800. Details to follow on the differences. We will have the Max version at the National HeadFi meet.

April 20, 200620 yr "We will have the Max version at the National HeadFi meet." Giggidy-giggidy-giggidy.
April 20, 200620 yr "We will have the Max version at the National HeadFi meet." Giggidy-giggidy-giggidy. We can have a little K340 party with it .
April 20, 200620 yr Just saw the schematic. Shouldn't be too hard to build your own, but parts cost is going to be stupidly high. Scrounging high quality audio transformers is almost impossible.
