EDIT: well, the flames being beautiful comment came at the end of the first period. At the end of the second, this is turning into one exciting game. Toews and Sharp are fun to watch.

Congrats to a better team. The Canucks have been better than the Blues in every area. Our kids were just manhandled by a bigger and stronger team.

Varlamov in the 2nd! Nice. Wild to think this is his first back-to-back start in the NHL ever. Semin, Ovechkin and Backstrom looking real good. Let's see how how the 3rd goes, but my how the tables have turned.

No wonder why Theo has become the second goalie in every team he has played for.

I'll be pulling for the Caps for the rest of the playoffs, they're truly a spectacular team when they want. The last bit of hope I had for the Habs has vanished tonight.

The Caps are good, but I don't think they're Wings good or Bruins good, not as a whole team, not yet. They could definitely win some spectacular games against anyone, but I'm not sure about a series.

Was in Vancouver this weekend after the win in game 2 the streets were flowing with great vibes from happy hockey fans

I'm not even watching the Wings game after the initial two periods of killing. The Flyers/Penguins game is a bit more exciting. Fleury's been the story in this game so far.

Wow. What a frustrating series that was. Luongo was the difference maker. Tip of the hat to the Canucks, very good team game. Good luck.

As far as this first series goes, we might see a couple of the best games tonight: Caps/Rangers and Flames/Hawks, with the latter getting pretty nasty if it starts out where it left off last game.

Ward's the only reason they're still in it. I'm pulling for a 7 game, more over times, lots of penalties and lots of injuries series. That way whoever makes it out is battered.

I can't wait to see what happens tonight, if Avery tries to mess with our goaltender again.

Avery will play, though might be on a bit of a leash. They know they can't afford the penalty time he was bringing. I did think it was rather funny when Avery was yelling at Varlamov since he doesn't speak English. Didn't phase him a bit.

Also at the end of the 2nd period, when he tried to get one more punch in on Semin. He's like a little kid.

The Montreal club was so much in trouble even before the start of the first round (remember they are under this man guidance....)

I missed half of the second period yesterday watching that show.

There wasn't much to miss though, the Habs were simply inferior to the Bruins in every aspect of the game. The most exciting moments were when Komisarek got punched by Lucic and when Carey Price pulled a "Patrick Roy". This team has really hit the bottom of the barrel and it's not going to get better with all the free agents this summer. Anyway, less hockey on TV means more time to do useful things.

The ONLY reason? As they say around here, not hardly. The guy is like a spaghetti strainer, full of holes. He has his moments, he really does. He has some amazing saves and then gives up soft goals. He is very shakey one on one. We will see what happens 2 nite.
