I'm sure a lot of their behavior makes sense on whatever planet they come from. Things like loving to sit on the corner, and only the corner, of a bed. Edited August 6, 20196 yr by EdipisReks1
August 6, 20196 yr Quote For 2 channel audio using a Hegel H590 For home theater running in 7.2.4 Atmos. I’m using an Athem MRX 1120 as a processor and to power the the surround channels. The Hegel supplies power to the Blades In pass through mode and the REF 4 C center channel is powered separately by a Parasound JC1. For the Atmos height speakers I am utilizing 4x Ci200RR-THX Ultimate channels in wall. The 4x remaining side channels and rears I’m using the Ci3160RL-THX Ultra2’s in wall. The Low frequencies are handled by a pair of JL Fathom F113’s.
August 7, 20196 yr Quote The main components are the Tannoy Cheviot speakers, Luxman L-100, Thorens TD-145 in an oversized plinth + Ortofon 2M Bronze, and Topping D30 DAC. Very coherent sound out of this system, with great imaging, and sweet vocals (been listening to a lot of Cyrille Aimée recently, highly recommend her live album and her album "Just The Two Of Us"). The room has been treated with 10cm thick Polymax Absorb XHD 100 (the Australian audiophile's insulation of choice when it comes to DIY acoustic absorption panels) on the window, side walls, and ceiling, and doubled up as bass traps for the front corners. Compared to pre-treatment, this room rang like a bell. Much better now. Conventional wisdom says to diffuse the front wall as opposed to absorb, but I had excess insulation at the time and no diffusion panels, so I figure I'd give it a shot. Big bonus being that outside noise is greatly attenuated. I'll probably give diffusion a go some time down the line. The latest addition is actually that little gizmo attached to the volume knob. It's a stepper motor controlled by an Arduino, that allows me to control the volume remotely.
August 14, 20196 yr Probably only $750,000, if the paunchy middle aged dudes are included. Edited August 14, 20196 yr by EdipisReks1
August 14, 20196 yr Quote Quote Comparative "budget" £100,000 system: The streamer was a Melco N1ZS, the DAC a Chord DAVE, into a Naim NAC 552 & then into a NAP 500 DR diving a pair of Wilson Audio Yvette's.

August 19, 20196 yr According to the OP, the turntable is like that because he has 1 year old child who likes the spinning shiny thing.
August 21, 20196 yr I'm not sure about the choice of finish color, but I do appreciate the extra woofer.
August 22, 20196 yr $600,000+ system. I maintain that the bigger Wilson speakers look as if they are quite irritated with the listener.
August 24, 20196 yr ^^ A local dealer used to have these....they use an outboard crossover that is a full length component size. They also always made me think of one of my favorite brands, Gallo.....
