July 21, 200619 yr Didn't the SR40 use SR60 drives as well? Then, this part of the article doesn't make any sense:
July 21, 200619 yr Ugly as hell for sure. But they might sound good. What are those things sticking out from the headpone part?
July 21, 200619 yr What are those things sticking out from the headpone part? I would venture to guess they are pivot points that allow the headband to be rotated so they could be used as behind the head or conventional headphones but......
July 21, 200619 yr I love the people who are whining about how Grado didn't introduce these headphones on Head-Fi.... Could it be because of messages like this: 2006-07-21 1133 EST: Database work. Be back up in ~10 minutes.
July 21, 200619 yr I love the people who are whining about how Grado didn't introduce these headphones on Head-Fi.... Could it be because of messages like this: LOL good point.
July 21, 200619 yr Cool they have counter balasts on them. I suppose that could be rather useful for those super active iPod users and their Starbucks coffee. The name alone is enough to make me want to sell my GS1000s. I dont want to be associated in any way with anything that comes in ipod white and has a name that begins with iSomething. Just think how annoying it would be... iWent iTo iStore iTo iGet iSome iGrados. Oh wait I guess that is nothing different then what rappers do all the time... hmmm maybe ill approach Apply about sponsoring me to put "i" in front of everything I do.
July 21, 200619 yr At least it isn't "Gradizzles". At least I could laugh at that name. I could care what they look like as I'm guessing that I am not their target audience but as a brand statement I think iGrado isucks iballs. How many add wizards did it take to come up with that one? Seriously, imagine the conversation... Add Guy: Let's call it "iGrado". It tells you nothing about the product other than whoever made it didn't give a shit about what name they gave it. Mr. Grado: Brilliant!
July 21, 200619 yr Why does the name matter? If they sound good and are comfortable, I could care less if they were called iSuck.
July 21, 200619 yr iSuck. We all already know you suck Dan. I still think the GS1000s should be the SS1000. Seeing that RS ment Refernce Series and ummm GS means Statement Series? Grado Statemet I suppose. Oh well. Fun times.
July 22, 200619 yr Why does the name matter? For you and me, it doesn't. For Grado it definitely does. I imagine it wasn't an easy decision to call it the iGrado but in my opinion it's a terrible name that reeks of a lack of imagination on Grado's part.
July 23, 200619 yr Why does the name matter? If they sound good and are comfortable, I could care less if they were called iSuck. Well then, the iGrado's would certainly be the first Grado headphone to accomplish that daunting feat!
July 24, 200619 yr We all already know you suck Dan. I still think the GS1000s should be the SS1000. Seeing that RS ment Refernce Series and ummm GS means Statement Series? Grado Statemet I suppose. Oh well. Fun times. GSS1000 would sound less gay then SS1000. Biggie.
