June 29, 200916 yr Author I wouldn't mind listening to some speakers. Is it a must to have pre-amps for a speaker rig? You only need a preamp if you have a separate amp. You can also use an integrated amp without a preamp. You will be able to listen to my speakers all you want.

I have a set of MicroFonkens. If Mike's got a sub, I can bring them. They're not much bigger than a set of headphones. We'll need something to serve as stands, too. I've been working for months on an overly ambitious pair that never seems to get done. Or we can give them a listen in my den.
