September 19, 201015 yr Hulu - Jack Johnson: At or With Me (Featuring Andy Samberg) No, really. It's awesome.
September 20, 201015 yr I've been waiting for that to come out. I read about it in Jack's newsletter. Thanks!
January 16, 201115 yr Robert Glasper - "Everything in it's Right Place" speaks for itself, pretty freaking outstanding if you ask me.
April 28, 201115 yr Yeah, really liked that. Zoe's performance at the 32 minute mark is amazingly beautiful -- it only takes her about 30 seconds to set up something that stops being "looped layers of melody lines" and turns into music, proper. And yeah, the guys were interesting, too. They tread pretty closely to that line of pretentiousness without crossing it, I thought. And still very entertaining.
April 29, 201115 yr I really like radiolab. I usually hate the "two guys talking back and forth" format but I think it works well for them. I also like that they try to be "anti-ira glass"
June 11, 201115 yr Just have to post the video from Childish Gambino (Donald Glover from Community). It's a one take performance, masterfully lipsinced, and shot on a 5D. Acoustic live version. Edited June 11, 201115 yr by NightWoundsTime
July 8, 201114 yr I'm such a sap for melodrama, I know, but I just love a good old school ballad. My mom used to listen to the likes of Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdink (the likes of this list), and my dad would listen to Vikki Carr and ...well, the female equivalent. Also -- someone convince that it was live. I want to think it is, because it seems to be pretty much in sync...but there's no way you won't hear the fingers on the mic. Also...it's a one-er. Wow just for that.
