Wow, good stuff!!! WOW!

Quick question: what type of silicone heat sink compound are y'all using with the alumina TO-220 insulators? Is the regular white gunk OK to use, or is there some special stuff to use instead at these voltages?

regular white goo for me. none of that stuff with the silver in it.

I grabbed the biggest squeeze'y tube of plain white silicone grease I could find.

Just watch out because, kinda like yogurt and whey, the oil separates to the top of the package and will go everywhere if your not careful.

Hahaa yeah. I tend to get the stuff all over my fingers.

OK, so the regular white stuff is OK, no need to try to find some exotic high-voltage rated stuff compounded of finely divided unobtainium oxide.

If they honor their 14 day return policy, one could dust off the trusty transistor tester and check for Vbr.

VCEO should test at 900V minimum if they are the real deal. If not, return them FAST!

Yeah, that is USPS "International Priority Mail". Def not cheap for a small parcel !

Shipping rates to Singapore is not cheap either. Works out to be US10.50 per piece if I buy 1 lot with the cheapest shipping. Of course, buying more will bring the rates and price per piece down. This also assumes they are real. Compared the pictures to the ones got from bdent at hand, as mentioned by Justin, they do look real.

i checked my earliest 2SA1968LS purchase from bdent (in 2006) i paid $3.90 a piece then.

i'd guarantee the one in the photo is real. is that the stock you will actually receive is the question.

I can't even tell you how pissed i'm getting at all the fake parts.

And i've been recently bit by $200 in fake parts myself. None of

the distributors stand by them either.

Dalbani seems to be the worst of the bunch, complete thiefs.

These pictures of the T2 are soo freaking impressive. These chassis are packed but it all smells perfection being so tight and neat. I really wish I had the skills / talent to do that kind of stuff, I can only hope to hear one someday (

Thanks for the info Birgir. We all need to make our informed choices dont we. One wrong part will take many good parts with it. And its not the price of the available parts that I am too worried about, but sometimes its the costs of shipping and the rare parts being taken down as well..

yes they replaced them. And charged us double.

it wasnt thru ebay. i didnt recognize the name because i remembered it as Nikko Electronics in the UK

Who's gonna take the hit for our community and relieve Dalbani of these suckers and test them?
