The GFX100RF arrived and I have time to work with it and compare it to existing gear. It gives nothing up to the Leica Q I have on build quality. EVF seems brilliant, but I’m used to older EVFs. We’ll see when I actually take pictures. -

Same OFC cable I can see and rather underwhelming overall. I didn't bother ordering one but I might if there are any discounts to be had. I have my SR-009 with new diaphragms up and running and it is quite interesting just how badly designed those stators are. Even with new diaphragms tuned to be anything but bright... they are still far too bright. Still far better than the stock unit and tolerable for most tracks... ohhh and they actually have bass now. Odd for the 009's...

Oh. Shit. There's someone on island selling off their EF lens collection: 24-70mm F/2.8 II (very functional but not super interesting zoom) 100mm F/2.8L Macro (expensive new, unfamiliar to me) 135mm F/2L (niche, but exceptional) 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 II (bird annoyer tele-zoom) 85mm F/1.2L II (Gojira) BRB, selling off some antiques. -
I don't know how many decades it has been since I was last in an IHOP, but I ended up without another breakfast option after dropping off my car for service. Damn the food is ridiculously lame! I should have taken a picture of the pathetic shriveled little bacon slices because Grahame would have cried. A bit of scrambled eggs and semi cooked tasteless pancakes topped with cold tasteless butter rounded out the "meal." Yeesh.

I've never been a big Frank Zappa fan. But I can't deny how clever he is. Qobuz has a 1970 playlist that I was listening to, and I liked one of the songs on this album. So, I decided to listen to it. I enjoyed it, kinda. It's short about 40 minutes and that's just about enough. ex.

I've been off the air for nearly 3 years at this point. So today I did the logical thing and pay Native Instruments to upgrade from Traktor Pro 3 to 4. So far the experience has been absolute misery. Their install app wants to contact every tracking site in the known universe and has taken ...45 minutes to download what purports to be a 500MB install.
