Since I just got these, might be time to talk about possibly the rarest stuff Stax ever made. Let me introduce the SRM-Monitor Mk2 and the SR-Lambda Pro New: I've only seen a couple of these for sale over the years so very rare indeed. The headphones are basically the modern version of the Lambda Pro's but not the Spirit/Pro Classic, made later than that. The SRM-Monitor has been called the Mk2 but the changes are mostly to the chassis. Inside there is still a SRM-1 Mk2 and the ED-1 but with different parts. They are all Pro bias only and notice the extra output on the back. The volume knob is also similar to the SRM-T1S/W knob and not the SRM-1 Mk2 unit found of the original Monitors. I have no idea when these were made but I've heard late 90's and for special customers which wanted to replace their older Lambda Pro sets and SRM-Monitors. With these here the Lambda collection is almost complete...

The Federalist Papers. https://guides.loc.gov/federalist-papers/full-text and the slightly more readable format. https://csac.history.wisc.edu/constitutional-debates/the-federalist-papers/ no particular reason.... This section starts to hit harder: The Insufficiency of the Present Confederation to Preserve the Union

Feliks Audio Bliss - so much stupidity...

That doesn't look like a stock unit to me but SRPP off a common heater supply...that's such a terrible idea. I do find it funny though that the High-amp circuits seem to be regressing, getting worse and worse over the years while still being filled with parts that are long out of production. -

speaking of fucked, here is the latest highend.de stupidity. tube current source added to antares v3.5 board. 6sn7 has a max cathode to filament voltage of +/-100v which means that anything over 400vppss at the output is slowly destroying the current source tube. god damm how hard is it to read the 6sn7 datasheet. even worse the filaments of both current source tubes tied to the same transformer winding. sure does not look like srpp. how fucking stupid is this idiot. edit: this may have been done by someone else using the highend.de board. -

RIP to the 8 people in Tumbler Ridge, Canada, victims of a mass shooting

RIP to Actors Bud Cort & James Van Der Beek..... Bud Cort was of course Harold in Harold & Maude, he did several other prominent roles but will likely be remembered mostly for H&M. One other movie I liked was Electric Dreams; he played the voice of the computer (and that's also where I fell in love with Virginia Madsen).

A Memento Mori for Skye was going to cost $450, so I went to Michaels, got a DIY kit, and did that myself this morning. Then I took her up to animal control and "relinquished" her body to be communally cremated.

I've mentioned Martin Sturtzer on H-C many times over the years. He is a German ambient artist who lives in Wuppertal, Germany (home to the coolest tramway in the world.) He has an impressive synth collection and the single best behaved synth kitty I have seen in my life. He is not happy. Also, Spotify sucks balls. -

You have to have multiple "bucha" drinks on a "woke" desk. Are those turkeys of the "Jive" variety?
