I did some maintenance to the server today, that included some DNS changes. If you see the following in your browsers address bar: http://72.18.146.20/ then either your ISP or your computer is caching the old DNS entries. If your running Windows try opening up a command window and running ipconfig/flushdns and that should clear out any cached dns entries. If that doesn't work you may have to reboot your computer.

Due some recent issues with the vBulletin software (the double post problem for example) and the general direction I see the software headed in (off a cliff). I've made the decision to switch to IPB Community & Forum Software - Invision Power Services, Inc.. Now for the good news, just about every feature currently available will be available with the new software. Existing links will continue to work, the links will change but old links will get re-directed to the new link. I updated the forum software today from 1.1 RC2 to 1.1 RC3 you will notice that you have been switched back to the default theme. I will re-add the old themes once they are updated for the latest version.

Sorry about the brief outage today guys, had to make some emergency repairs to the database, one of the main tables was corrupting itself. It should be all fixed now.

Starting the process for upgrading the IPB forum software to version 3.2. You'll see some features disappear during the transition. Not sure how long the upgrade will take - will update this post/thread as things move along.

headwize and my other sites will be down starting november 26 thru the 28th or 29th due to power shutdown to wire in the power to my new building. Also down december 29 thru january 1 to finish the job.

Rather than ban users, I think a nice topic to keep track of who's being an asshat is appropriate.

I upgraded the forum software tonight from version 3.3.4 to version 3.4.0. It's a pretty major upgrade with a lot of behind the scenes changes so please let me know if you see any issues. EDIT: Also I've seen some reports of users not being able to post and getting a "post empty" message. Please try clearing your browser cache or doing a hard refresh (Control + F5 on Windows).

Head-case will be undergoing maintenance starting at ~8PM eastern on Saturday September 23, 2023. This work is expected to take a couple of hours and the site will be in maintenance mode or offline during various parts of the maintenance.

I upgraded the forums to vBulletin 3.8 today please let me know if you find any problems.

Sorry about the downtime today, according to the data center they were having some power problems with the rack where my server is located. Everything appears to be running fine at the moment. Let me know if you see anything out of the ordinary going on.

Finally added one of the more common requests I get - a dark theme - hit the "change theme" link at the bottom of the page and choose the "Infinite Dark" option. After changing the theme if you look at the little button next to the "gallery" button at the top you can change the color to your liking.
