What are you listening to Part the Third

It has got Daniel Lanois, Rhiannon Giddens, Willie Nelson, D'Angelo, etc. etc. It is brilliant. No knowledge of the game required to enjoy.

Thank u, ang728. I have seen your other DIY build, then I found these chassis. Try to build my 2nd KSA5 amp.

    Stax ELS-F81 thinking of side-grading

I've only talked to him once but he seemed like the nicest guy. Makes sense to do both panels at the same time. Might also be time for the bias supplies too.

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here Thank you all for this great project, I just finish my first KSA5 amp, The sound is absolutely crazy good. I use a small chassis for my ksa5 mainboard. 10k pot. To reduce power chassis depth, I raise the power board and let the transformer under the power board.

    Stax ELS-F81 thinking of side-grading

Thanks heaps got in touch with him. Very nice and down to earth person to deal with if anyone needs their Quad or Stax ESL service. Looks like I need to send him the panel to have them both restored to match.

Here’s a profile shot. Chevy certainly borrowed the styling ques and proportions in this view from the Ferrari 458.

    Post what you're watching

I am also a FLW fan except for when I have jury duty at the courtrooms at the Marin county civic center (which he designed). The courtrooms have no right angles anywhere. That triggers me.

What are you listening to Part the Third

Two bands I saw last night: Holy Fawn dirges prettily -- listen to the first couple of seconds, if that doesn't hook you in, then it's not for you -- "Loud Heavy Pretty Noises" is pretty spot on -- imagine a more metally Sigur Ros. https://holyfawn.bandcamp.com/ Vasudeva are pretty much what I said, whimsical mathrock: https://vasudeva.bandcamp.com/

And now what did you do TODAY?

Graham Nash in concert tonight in Oxford. Bloody awesome. His voice is still unchanged even though he is now 77! He even did some numbers that he wrote when he was with the Hollies in the early 60's. https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/an-intimate-evening-of-songs-and-stories-with-graham-nash/new-theatre-oxford/ Oddly enough we're going to precisely those places in a month. Our daughter and her husband are in Milan from Australia for a wedding, and we're meeting up with them for a few days, driving with them to Lake Garda.

And now what did you do TODAY?

Packing for trip to Milan with Mary tomorrow. Google says the weather will average in the 38s so packing is easy, shorts tee shirts and dressy speedo. Our friends know a couple of winery and restaurant owners in the Amarone and Guarda Lake areas so I guess we will be drinking a little wine and eating small meals.
