  1. So, a couple of days ago, on my birthday (which I deleted from my profile...ha ha ha ha ha!) I get this box. I knew it was coming 'cuz Kevin G. asked me my for my address but wouldn't tell me what was up. I open it up...and what do I find? This! Nice t-shirt...sadly very appropriate...I laughed long and hard. Been gaining weight, damit. Many of my Hawaiian shirts are not fitting very well. Don't know if Wink actually noticed that or not, but the little dude done me right!!! In the box were numerous Hawaiian shirts, all of which appropriately sized for my ample proportion. Thanks buddy. Been watching down at the Costo for Hawaiian shirts and they haven't been coming up this year. I was wondering what to do...you fixed it good. Thanks mate!!!

  2. He also quotes the fucktard David Mahler as some sort of a source for information on headphones and whether they are any good or not.

  3. Oh the high life of a tech conference. The phonetically correct spelling of my name is a new one on me.

  4. Exactly what I was thinking. Simple/easy/small rig (it's half the size of larger than expected HAP-Z1). Bring in streaming through toslink and vinyl through rcas if necessary. Question is that amp. One review said numbers are solid. Another the amp isn't its strong point.

  7. If that color was on a Strat' it would be called Sea Foam Green. Always dug that.

  8. The LBS did not a have a Shiny Object in stock so went with a Genuine Innovations Ultraflate Plus instead. Also ordered a Lezyne sport drive on eBay.

  9. Not quite Dusty. There is something called baffle step compensation. The crossover (should) be tied to the enclosure or you are doing something wrong.

  10. Wow, I bet you were born before Hawaii was even a state. If you ever make it to So Cal again, I will take you to the ultimate Hawaiian shirt shop here in da Village. Happy belated Birthday to the Big Kahuna! and Mahalo.

  14. Usually the larger ones are more prone to it. Here's how it looks - One of the reasons why small monitors image better is that the baffle is narrower for the tweeter/mid assembly. Many designs battle this by putting the tweeter in a different module, like B&W does. The audible difference in theory is improved imaging. In my opinion this is what holds back all of the BBC monitor speakers for reaching ultimate fidelity.

  15. Was short, but sweet visit. Only had a couple hours. Picked up a couple RR CDs, but otherwise wallet survived. Awfully tempted by Sony HAP-Z1ES and new $1K HAP-S1 sources though. Best sounding room? San Francisco Audiophile Society's w/ KEF LS50s! I keed. Zu was definitely most fun. Too much to visit. Crappy/blurry phone photos... HAP-S1 all in one Two new EC amps (including ECSS replacement) Burwell & Sons beauty Deal I would have jumped on if situation slightly different (sounded quite nice for price) TriangleArt table porn (with preamp/preamp/preamp) Justin Steve Dusty approved
