Spent a few hours at the Lowell Folk Festival today. Caught some nice Irish, Klezmer, Bluegrass, and misc. street musicians. Beautiful day, good music, good food, and some nice people-watching.
Nice, also called comcast and got them to cut my bill more than 35%! It is still an absurd amount, but at least it isn't the ridiculous sum it was before.
The wife and I went to Melody Gardot this evening. She started more than half an hour late, and to be honest, a bit cold, at times I had the feeling she was doing playback. But by the third tune the show warmed up and we've had a lot of fun. She's a show-woman well worth attending live, her band is great too.
Nice shots as usual, Jeff.
I'm going to try to make the C&C at the Larz Anderson Museum (near Boston) in August and maybe the German Car Day event in October. Long ago I used to go down to the European Motorcycle Day event and it was always a good time.
Apple seemed to remove all their scanner apps, because they could be used for "other purposes" ....
If you know your modems IP address (typically its the default gateway seen from the router), you can look at status information from its built in webserver (if it has one)
So on my network its http://192.168.100.1/
giving me ...
You can look at the logs to see if there are any issues after reboot and it has aquired (local) network time ....
If you have Android /non apple gear, you can run various scanners to see how congested your local airwaves are. Apartment living does have some downsides
Very nice.
TWC tried to screw me over after our 1 year "promo" price was up and charge me a shit ton more, but "because I was such a good customer", they'd give me the same service as before but 10 bucks more a month. I told them to blow me and I am ending up paying less now per month than before. And I have 50Mb/s (measured) service now rather than 30Mb/s (measured). Calling and being stubborn can work wonders.
