  1. Looks great Mike (and a bit healthier than my meal). Meal tonight at the local French place: fois gras to start, filet mignon with mushrooms and cognac cream sauce over sauteed spinach and frites for the meal, and blue cheese for dessert. I should probably have a heart attack tonight (luckily I had wine with the dinner so I'll be ok).

  2. Debbie made chicken piccata with artichoke, capers and lemon juice. Green beans on the side. Everything was perfect and delicious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Left channel is a GG. Followed Kevin’s schematic. Intention is to use Emission Labs DHT, didn’t dare to test it with DHT so it’s populated with some modern less expensive EL34. Right channel is an old Blue Hawaii. The combination of BH and GG works terrific.

  4. I guess you need to teach the kids to tuck and roll so you can do drive-by daycare drop-off. Solves the idiot parallel parking by crashing problem.

  5. One of my favorite holidays of the year. Is anyone going? Anything worth picking up? http://recordstoreday.com/ Flaming Lips - Heady Nuggs Vol 2 is tempting I kinda want Skrillex & Diplo ft Justin Bieber - Where Are You Now? Across The Universe OST. If this was the deluxe edition, I'd be incredibly tempted. As it is, it doesn't have "If I Fell" by Evan Rachel Wood. She got better at singing as the filming progressed, or she was autotuned, or both, but I much prefer her version in the movie to the Beatles' version. Monster a Go-Go Volume 1. A friend of mine would go nuts over this, and there are only 1000 copies, so if I find it, may grab it for him. There's some Sublime on LP and cassette that looked interesting as well. If there's something that anyone wants, I could try to snag it. Whether I pick up anything or not, I'm going to hang out with some friends and wait in line/win fabulous cash and prizes. **BRENT**

  8. As you say, it's not about the money, it's about the supposed prestige a firm like PRS has grown over the years. He cannot deliver a premium guitar like that if he wants to keep it. For crap guitars at a premium price we already have plenty of Gibson, Fender, Epiphone, Ibanez, Martin, etc to choose from. Nothing is as it used to be anymore

  9. I'm not sure how much does one of those guitars is, but for the kind of money I'm guessing, he should deliver them much much better, properly stringed, intonated and in perfect shape. That's no ex-demo or second hand refurbished stuff

  14. Good: All set for my first G Street Autocross event on Sunday. 2 Other Focus ST in my class so I'll have a good baseline (even if mines a bit of a porker with the sunroof) and the dealer fixed the autoglass issue and a minor issue with the hand brake that also now meant I got a fully re-aligned gear setup and that's way smoother which is great. Bad: my and Meaghan's cars got bumper damage from peoples front license plate screws, not sure where but I'm guessing someone at daycare is a fucking idiot.

  15. 17.59 miles today. 35 since Sunday! He had a pretty bad fall, but has a story and a cool scar now. It was a shop ride and we did the long one in the slower/15 MPH group. My watch doesn't auto pause so again, we were moving faster than 11.3 MPH the entire time. Xavier totally was out riding the older kid on a CAAD5 Cannondale. He's a boss. The ride leader is a shop employee. He didn't see the crash but he rode back and helped look over the bike. He later rode up and said to leave the bike with him overnight and he'll tune it up and make sure it's in good shape after the crash. Didn't buy from these guys, and have only spent 10$ with them in my life. We have 5-7 solid bike shops in town, and they are all fucking great. So lucky, shop wise. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1124976755 Edit: at dinner we looked at his Garmin. He's done just shy of 100 miles in the past month and change. That's awesome. **BRENT**
