  1. Actually this was yesterday. One of the bosses is remodeling his bathroom as a surprise, while his wife is in Ireland with the kids. He hated his vanity, and just wanted some simple shelves, which I milled and glued up from rough cut Redwood. Not shown is the second shelf which sits on the concrete slab, and buts against the existing floor tile, which is staying. This will receive 3 coats of a Marine spar varnish. Today's project is outdoor railing caps for three decks on a project that's just about done. These will set atop 2" wide metal railings. The grooves I milled to 2 3/4" wide, to also accommodate LED light strips that will shine down on the deck.

  2. I found a website, openstreetmap.org, that has most (but not all) of the stairs, lanes, paths, and public rights of way marked. A lot of them are not on google maps or Apple Maps. This is so cool! A lot of these paths are barely marked and you could walk/drive right by them without knowing they were there. I've been plotting out interesting walks while I've been stuck on conference calls and double checking that the paths are actually there on google maps street view. Some fun looking routes in southern marin that I hope to do. Corte Madera Stair Tour: Sausalito Stair Tour: Mill Valley Stair Tour:

  3. not ready to do final P100 comments yet until i do some espresso for a period of time but just dropping in to say apparently “burr break in” is a real thing. in the past few weeks the amount of fines has dropped considerably on all of my various beans and i feel like i’m nearing the final state of these burrs and ease of use in purging between doses. which is to say - no purging. there is nothing left from each dose. it is completely zero retention.

  5. Interesting. I believe I followed the board and came up with about 60mV offset w/o servo.

  6. Generally, for KGs designs, the PCB values are the ones to follow.

  7. Finished building CFA3 Ver1.21 recently. But offset reading seems off ,about 0.8V relative to gnd and 0.2V after solving oscillating issue ,VO+ to VO- also high as 0.2V and bias went huge bump when switching ss to zf with oscillation on scope.I was quickly solving the problem by pulling 600pf,20pf caps form the mentions in this thread. After some wild goose chase then I noticed a slight difference between schematic and board silkscreen.R211,R222,161,R262 value at current mirror is 680ohms but showing 300ohm on PCB. now I have about 40mV offset w/o servo at each side with 680ohm resistor, haven't done any further test but I think I can have a good sleep tonight Scrolling through the thread and it seems nobody mentioned .Not sure if that's a issue but just a heads up

  9. Thanks for the site - it looks like a aggregator of all city level GIS site data. And agreed, it has the paths that I know are there that google doesn't. - cool.

  10. Now I think I’ve a 300B filament power unit I like. All smd on bottom side and common (through hole) trimmers and LEDs, and the Tracos of course on top side. With trimmers voltage at tube pins is easily set to 5.00 +/-0,05V. There is voltage drop cross wires and solid-state relays. Cover with ventilation slots. The Tracos produce some heat.

  11. Jacob, I grind either roughly 22 grams for myself or closer to 42 when I have company on a few days of the week. The good thing is the Niche makes the adjustment fairly easy. Swinging between the Chemex and the espresso machine is a bit more but quite manageable. just need to run some beans through it when I go from Chemex to espresso to get the grind closer to ideal. Love the Niche and I'd definitely recommend it to someone. EDIT: I have not used a hand grinder at home. HS
