Hey JP, keep the impressions coming. I know you were/are limited with connection options, but now that you've had a few days, how do you invision using mostly (rig-wise)? Laptop, portably, analog setup, etc.? And EQu app could be a fun way to experiment if you're using your phone.

I always thought if I had a new time machine I'd go back and build a more comfortable seat in my current time machine.- Ye Macce Threade
Grawk, thanks again. After a few you're-lucky-we're-replacing-this-poorly-designed-product-as-you-didn't-buy-in-an-Apple-store comments, they replaced the MacBook expanding battery free today. Should last now at least until that MBA announcement (and maybe just as music server after). BTW, anyone else really hoping toslink comes to MBA?- What are you listening to Part the Third
I f&*kin' loved that album at one point. Finished every work day for 3-4 months with it. Moar Gould here.- What are you drinking now, pt 2.
Wild Cherry sparkling and seltzer (minus Cherry Skyy) continues.- Apple Tablet
If you're a tweaker, EQu is kinda interesting. Not system wide, so doesn't work with FLAC player and other third-party apps, but does iTunes and AirPlay. May want to consider the competition also (see comments).- Android-powered touchscreen Wi-Fi headphones offered
Moar news. "That ugly metal band is gone, replaced by a handsome black and silver rig..." "Last time, the Admiral had nice clear mids, though the bass was hard to find, so Nox replaced a pair of transducers, tweaked the virtual 7.1 (Pro Logic IIx + Dolby Headphone 2) mix, and added an optional bass boost to compensate. We definitely appreciated that extra ooomph for movie explosions and the like, but we're sorry to say those clear mids were seemingly sacrificed in the quest for bigger booms -- the slightly muddier mix made it difficult to identify individual instruments and directional audio cues even in Nox's enclosed audio booth."- Deals

Don't I know it. Pretty sure the GF thought so too. At least I didn't break into the Jim Beam Red Stag Black Cherry bourbon. Cringe, cringe.- What are you drinking now, pt 2.

JP, mind if I ask how you figured out the 192/96 discrepancy? My brain is cloudy, but I seem to remember a year ago this spec went back and forth. Wonder if it does 88.2?- slower forum

Vicki, if you can't find a higher resolution graphic, you may want to try Vector Magic. I just ran your avatar through it (actually from the other site as avatar slightly larger) and was unsuccessful getting a smooth vector unfortunately, but they have a 'hand-drawn' service, and after answering a few question (how many colors, etc.), it came out as $22 in this case. The results will be far from perfect, but considering the size of the endpoint (an IEM shell) it may work. I've had success in the past using smaller images, turning them into vectors and then blowing them up for posters, etc. Your avatar is pretty small, but at lest it's basic colors and flat. http://vectormagic.com Bad example (why you may want to go with the service):- slower forum
