well i remember what took it over the top on head-fi was when Bush got re-elected and everyone was posting up that map of the republican states making up a new country, "Dumbfuckistan." ah, the good old days!

my poor DAC-ah doesn't get any love. c'mon, it's a chinese DAC too you know! but it has no hype machine to push it, oh well. i got my lan-modded box back and it's sounding really great, i have no complaints. i prefer it to the zhaolu's OS-sounding signature - something about that sparkly highs thing doesn't appeal to me, it sounds a bit artificial. oh well, we'll have a DAC shootout in NYC after the nat meet and settle this once and for all!

afrer i D/Ld that, no quicktime vids will play anymore on my computer without stuttering nonstop. i tried getting rid of it and putting an earlier version in, but i don't want to go to a more primitive itunes update. tying them together stinks. oh well, this just means i dont watch junk that needs QT to run it anymore, no big loss.

btw yikes, as i'm doing the lists for the nat meet, lemme tell ya that so far we haven't told anyone they they can't come because someone doesn't like em i've been doing it first come first serve, until we started to get darn close to the fire marshall limit, then we did it by 100+ posts, then finally a hard deadline and all waiting list after that. are you on the list now? i'm too lazy to look. if not and you still want to come let me know (PM me here is fine too) and i'll stick you on the waiting list!

We have someone who was a major leaguer, played in the outfield for the Minnesota Twins. Look up the celeb thread. Also, we have a founding member of the Human League and Heaven17 too, not hard to spot. Those are the only other two who have come out publicly.
