RIP someone or another
No shit! Doug Aguilar was one of the guys that I knew there. He was one of those guys that worked there for a crazy number of years. I lived at the Upstart Crow coffee house in the Pruneyard across the street (actually married one of the baristas from there).

RIP someone or another
RIP Russ! The first records I bought were from the North Beach Tower Records in the summer of 1968 (I was 13 and lived in Georgia). Alices's Resturant and Trout Mask Replica. Three years later I was back there (without my parents this time on a pot fueled trip from New York state). I had a few friends who worked at the Tower in Campbell Ca. It was a great place to hang out and some of those guys were lucky to have a place like that to hang their multi colored, multi pierced hats.

30T SSD big enough?
Bear in mind that when I mentioned Bad Robot Studios, I used that as an example of someplace with the unlimited budget to jump on these as they're being released. I think we're talking over $10k while it's on the bleeding edge. But, it will apply downward pressure on the rest of the market. I paid about $700 for a 2T Evo 850 not too long ago and OWC has Micron (Crucial) 2T ssd's on sale for under $400.

30T SSD big enough?
Samsung has unveiled the video studio's dream storage unit. How many would Bad Robot need? https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2018/2/20/17031256/worlds-largest-ssd-drive-samsung-30-terabyte-pm1643

Fuck in snow
Mikey, I can see that these folks aren't impressed with our puny NW snow. Me, I was dancing around on my deck when it really got going! Don't worry, the old girl should handle it just fine. Just keep an ice scrapper in the trunk.

What are you listening to Part the Third
Gotta admit that I'm not familiar with these (in any format). I'm hoping for a thorough review Peter?

Fuck in snow
Woke up to the first snow I've seen in a long time! It only stuck around for a couple of hours but it was exciting for someone who lived in San Jose Ca for the last 35 years.

Yup, that's right up there! I started looking at the surface it's sitting on. Basement floor would be my guess? And, aren't those real sutures? Maybe this freak is helping to pay his way during a surgical rotation?

Deals
That is awesome Brent! I did look at this last night and went away pining for the Janus Collection. I use a lot of storage for stuff like sample libraries so I keep an eye on the prices of SSD's. I've been stoked at the way the price of these devices has been dropping the last couple of years and it looks like Crucial/Micron is going to turn up the heat. 2T Micron 1100 for $387.99 at OWC! I bought a 2T Samsung Evo 850 about a year ago for around $700 and that was a great deal. The Crucial was around $600 at the time but I went for the extra 2 years of warranty (5 vs 3) on the Sammy. https://eshop.macsales.com/item/Micron/DAK20T0TBN/

Post what you're watching
Just finished Altered Carbon. Loved it! It did have a couple of episodes that were pretty schizoid but IMHO confusing the reader/viewer is part of the genre (there always seems to be an undercurrent of distain for the casual viewer/reader but that is part of the "punk" part of cyberpunk). I'd like to go back and really look at the visuals and listen to the sound now. But you know how that goes!

Ye Macce Threade
I just use the app. I've used browser integration with some of the downloaders but they seem to work better as a standalone app. Pretty simple. Just copy the URL to your clipboard and launch the app.
