I'm beginning to worry about the both of you for giving such weak advice to a trusted colleague. Dinny - get your ass up to the Apple store tomorrow and don't leave there without an iPad and a 15" i7 mbp.

I got a refurb Airport Extreme base from Apple a while back, and am very happy. Compared to old Linksys B/G that it replaced, I definitely get more range and speed (at least 2x).

hmmmm ... seems one could attach a cf card reader via the usb port and be good to go, no? Since we're talking picture storage here, I love the Photobucket app - lets me get to any of my Photobucket albums as well as anyone's public photos and display them. Beats taking up gobs of storage on the iPad, and performance over wireless is good. I imagine flickr and others may be close behind.

No kidding! Spent most of last night streaming concert and music movies from Netflix to the iPad and listening with trusty old SR60s. Not tonight, though ... I'll just finish the last bit that I didn't see last night and be done (sound familiar, anyone?).

No problems here, Jeff. Mine is pretty rock solid, as yours seems to be. In Mike's case, it's probably user error, NTTIAWWT.

Too late, Mike. It's already had 3 year olds playing tic-tac-toe with it, and some dfh 60 dripped down the face. So far it has (wo)manned up and taken it. I think it is a sturdy little bugger that wants to live on the edge, so mine will be a free range pad.

Mike ... glad the Apple case is working for you, and u r gaining nerd status for the jailbroke iphone linkup - impressive. In the past, I've been obsessive about keeping ipods and itouch pristine in cases from new - not so much with the pad. I guess the matte finish is more of a "touch me, I won't break" look and feel, so I'm going caseless with the pad, and letting it experience life to the fullest. Will probably be looking for some kind of stand or prop eventually, so maybe the Apple case will be the answer for that.

Congrats Mike, Jeff, Shelly, Dan, jp(?), and all on being up and running with your pads. I was out all day making airport runs for guests, but mine arrived, just finished charging, and I'm synching now. Looking forward to a fun evening with the new iPad and a rack of dfh 60 minute.

Mine is with UPS "WORLD EASE" whatever the fuck that is. Seems like a branding thing, but it suicks, because so far no location data - just a "Shipped on 3/29/2010" from SHENZHEN, CN. CN, that's Connecticut, right? Should be here in no time.
