  1. The Woo? You want the Woo? You can't handle the Woo. Ok, I'll bring it ... Woo not?
  2. I'm down with Team Minimal. MBP -> Duet -> SPL Phonitor -> SD800/HF2
  3. Al ... your side of the bed is empty, and I'll leave the light on.
  4. Ari ... I'll see you have a room, and pm you a cell # to call for one of us to pick you up at FLL when you touch down. Glad to have you. Yes, Ft Lauderdale (FLL). Southwest usually has good fares to/from there. Let us know when you get in.
  5. Yup, as simple as that, Dom, get your mind out of the gutter (of course, there was that incident with New Guy in a men's room in Tampa). I believe it originated at jp's going away meet just before he moved to Cali. Had a mellow time at his old condo (Mike, Matt, Vicki, jp, & me), and pretty sure it was Vicki who coined that phrase (may have been Mike - please correct me).
  6. woohoo ... meet on. Wouldn't be real without the glue.
  7. Mike, the fixer ... John, I do hope you find a way - don't forget the SoFL travel slush fund option. (You do not want Mike & me coming out there after you - wouldn't be pretty.)
  8. Happy Birthday, Peter. Enjoy the day, and all that follow.
  9. This is getting ugly. I shouldn't do this (they will hate me for it), but both John (jpnums) and Mike (tyrion) have lots of room for guests, and love to host drunken, incoherent, geeks in their homes or hotel rooms. Just send them a pm or email telling them when you arrive, and what accommodations you require. Then, after the face push, contact me for some floor space in my room. I'm trying to get a two bed room, so one of you may have a real bed. CJ, I know you can sleep anywhere, so I'll be sure there is a chair or some open space on the floor. NightWoundsTime has precedence over your sorry asses, so if he needs a room, you lot gotta get cozy.
  10. hmmmm ... just read the artist description ... ARTLURKER THE RAPE TUNNEL By Sheila Zareno So, I'm thinking if I get a ticket to Columbus, and fly out there, i have free reign to kick this guy's ass (literally and figuratively) if I make it through the tunnel? Seems a cheap plane ticket to me in the interest of setting the world clock aright. Anyone wanna be a witness or accomplice?
  11. ok, I'm all for performance art and over the top kinds of shit, but this guy needs to spend 6 months at Rikers Island, Sing Sing, or San Quentin. Then come out and try a rape tunnel. Whole different meaning, I'm thinking.
  12. down, down, so, so down ... either weekend works.
  13. See ... that's why I named the lad my designated drinker. 'nuff said.
  14. Glad you boys and girls are having a grand time, and quite vexed I am not there to share the laughs. Thanks for the pics, duggeh, and I hereby appoint you my designated drinker for the duration of the event. I did receive a garbled report via cell Friday evening from Team Florida, so knew the affair was proceeding as planned - total chaos with a laugh soundtrack. I do have some questions ... JP - got one of those hats for me? Vicki - are there guns in da house? Younger - why no boxed beer? Mike - you're not stealing my man with your devilish Mossad techniques, are you? Al - miss you honey, hope you are having a good time. Grawk - have the cops showed up yet? Is the property damage severe? Now, finally, why weren't those shots by the sea of skinny dipping? Bunch 'o sissies.
  15. Tyll ... I know this is late in the thread, but, Jesus!, you are one old SOB, and I say that with much love and devotion. Hope you had a great day, and I just know that one as wise, mean, smart, dexterous, wicked, and devious as you will live to celebrate many, many more moons among us. Happy Birthday, Amigo!
  16. You know, Dinny,I used to use my left hand for switching, but lately, find the right to be it's equal. ymmv may vary, but in this test, I am a right brain troglodyte: The Right Brain vs Left Brain test | PerthNow Help! Al, Vicki, John, Mike, Matt ... anyone .. that's not me, is it? Muhahaha ... of course it's me. I have and love the Manley Skipjack, so no arguments on that device allowed (per secret canjam oath with eam).
  17. DB I've seen many times, including Storyville in '54 and Newport Jazz in '58 ... great, but at this point, snooze - been there, done that. Regina Spektor. however, I'm all in for. See you at thje Apple Store, Nate.
  18. yeah, that Olive is a bit swishy, but I'll get over it with Lowell George and Little Feat. Here's a latter day video for the audio challenged. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wt4UqRvUFE]YouTube - dont bogart me~the fraternity of man[/ame]
  19. Great news, Al - really happy the beast is back. Major props to Steve for for his witchcraft and devil dealing.
  20. Have had good experience with the Luminous Audio Axiom passives, both SE and Balanced. Luminous Audio Technology - Axiom Passive Preamp Currently running a SPL Volume2 balanced betwixt CDP and amp, but it is not passive. Description: Sound Performance Lab Of course either of these choices takes away your diy joy. <edit> just took a look at the NHT links - appear to be good choices, too. I'd go the extra for balanced. Can use that SE if needed, and have balanced for future needs at little cost. </edit>
  21. What? You mean all that courtroom prancing and dancing has to be researched and prepared? I thought you just got up there and went extemporaneously. That's what Al does. j/k, Mike - don't go postal and start for the gun cabinet. This just means that the next one will be all the more fun.
  22. ... and guns, and money!
