Shun Ken Knives at Woot (5/14/2010) Don't know if these are good or not, but I know there are some knife phreaks here so thought I'd mention. Plus, it's always fun to read Woot copy.

Steve ... acording to Ed's post at HF there should soon be an ordering thread over there. Surely someone will link to it here when it goes up.
  4. ^^^ Or, if you don't want to mess with cracking open the mini, just get external usb optical drive.

Ed ... you rd man! Fantastic work on the shirt, and on the badges. We are not worthy, but you do it anyway. Thanks!
  6. Dinny ... try eBags. They have both Tumi & Booq. Pricing should be better than retail store, and they do free shipping.
  7. I have 17.6gb free on my 32gb. That's with 30 apps, all the music and photos I need, a few books, but no videos. Very easy to rotate content from mbp, so I think I am set with 32gb. No regrets or size envy so far.
  8. rasta ... I have some extra of both (xlr <-> rca and trs <-> rca). PM me if interested, and we can work a deal.
  9. ^^^ <Beavis & Butthead> He said Ironed Reamer ... </Beavis & Butthead>
  10. ^^^ Cliffs version: - Jude gave Head-Fi day to day ops to a commercial forum vendor called Huddler. Jude does less or no work and gets moar money. - Completely different user experience, and worse (much worse) mod experience. - Head-Fi sponsors charged beacoup moar $$$. - most here don't like, but, then, we don't care, either. Lots of thread chatter about it ...
  11. You're scaring me, Jeff.
  12. Showoff. I remember 6400 guy - he was the wanna be at Mayberry guy from Toronado. I quake in fear anticipating shots from Rush St when we are in Chicago ...
  13. Cool, Jim. I'm a safari man myself. Yeah, here's hoping you find time in your busy schedule to make to CJ. You'll love the Red Oxx bag, but be warned, you'll want more.
  14. Happy Birthday, Ari. Have a great one.
  15. Dinny ... if you like pockets and rugged construction, check the Red Oxx Metro or, if that's not big enough, their CPA Briefcase. I have neither, but do have 3 of their other bags and love them. Made in Montana by former parachute riggers.
  16. RIP, Lena.
  17. Happy Birthday, Shelly. Have a wonderful day.
  18. Heaven help us ... I can see you at a depo, iPad on table tethered to iPhone in your pocket, and snapping away. Have you tested video? hmmmm, wonder if it would work with the mini's video?
  19. Colin ... daughter lives in Ridgewood, and has Optimum for cable, isp, and phone. Overall satisfied, and if you get for great price, no reason not to use them. Whenever I visit, have had no issues with connection or speed.
  20. yeah, what jeff said. iPad has a mic, and the free spl meter works great. Selectable ranges, fast or slow tracking, and a or c weighted. mic is handy for quick note taking, too.
  21. yup ... just snapped this and uploaded using the Photobucket app.
  22. er, um, Vicki? We're gonna need that TPS report on Thursdays from now on ... that won't be a problem, will it?
  23. I second the Complex RPN Calc that Shelly mentioned. Once you've used RPN it's hard to go back. Don't really need the full power anymore, but it's just comfortable working with RPN and a stack.
  24. Happy birthday, Ryan.
  25. Depends ... just do the math. Figure out how much storage space you'll need for "all my user manuals" and see if it fits in the 16/32/64gb space along with music, apps, photos, videos, etc.
