Sorry to hear Haj, too bad they don't give you money for missed appointments. Even Comcast does that. My utility company wait was both yesterday and overnight, we lost power twice. I was up much of the overnight, and I'm sofa king tired.

Shure KSE1500 – Electrostatic Earphone

Ditto to what Jacob said. I like the idea a lot, but can't justify the cost in any way. I'd hope that there might be some response to this by Stax or another vendor, to bring something less pricey to the market, while still hitting high quality. Maybe something closer to the Stax SRS-002 system with more IEM-style earspeakers. -

Shit, sorry to hear the troubles aren't going away Larry... As long as there is light in the tunnel, keep looking forward. Hoping this surgery is a major step. Wishing you, your femur, and your daughter all the best! -

Saw Loreena McKennit in a "Trio Performance" last night. Joined by Brian Hughes and Caroline Lavelle, she gave us two sets plus two encores. Both fascinating and beautiful, we heard stories of her travels and the history of Celts, poetry read, and of course beautiful music. Even a few jokes.... I have always enjoyed her full-band sound, her musicianship and arrangements are always fantastic. But this was more personal & passionate, I think I enjoyed it even more. All 3 played multiple instruments, and blended so well.... And Caroline Lavelle seems ageless; she is a very lovely woman with long blond locks perhaps to her waist, a great musical intensity, and a smile that would melt ice caps. And she was playing a very cool black Cello among her instruments.

I see what you did there.... Does sound very interesting. And while Jude cannot be called impartial, even for him to gush like that I would say means it's well beyond simply good -
Whoa....glad you are OK, and glad to hear no injuries overall.....

After dropping Andrew off for work, Karen and I went up to Lake Massabesic in Machester NH. Several trails, and a nice day to spend with a nice view. Took the long way home and peeked at lots of colorful leaves.

Happy Birthday Iain, make the bonfire big and you'll have plenty of company (thinking firefighters mostly, but they can wish you happy birthday too)

Weird day today.... Comcast was completely out, and when it came back, still had to go to basement and reset the phone router. Did some productive things, laundry and got the enclosed deck/porch ready for winter. it figures it gets to ~75 degrees when i chose to do this! Then, while watching the Bruins lose again, I get a call from my mom. She was on the way down with my brother and sister-in-law from a weekend at their condo in NH. A truck rear-ended them. Everyone thankfully OK, but shaken up. Stuck at the scene a while, but made it back here where my mom had left her car. Briother's SUV will need some good work, but it held up OK and thankfully kept everyone safe. Then driving with Andrew. He kind of regressed at first, tentative and over-doing some things; but settled in. We'll cap it off with dinner ordered in, one of Andrew's favorites. I'll join you Dusty in the "bit fried" status....need to chill tonight. Got a bottle of Mead yesterday I'm going to try for dessert.
