  1. Yeah, it actually doesn't look too bad. Good news!
  2. I personally prefer the smoother sound of the DA10 despite the better components (and allegedly design) of the DAC1. It's quite interesting; I prefer a number of DACs over the DAC1 (and DA10) at below its pricerange.
  3. Horrible power supply. Mediocre DAC and cheap opamps. Good, smooth sounding nonetheless.
  4. Wait, have you heard the HD53R?
  5. Oh, so it is ready for order. Very cool; keep us up to date!
  6. This is very interesting. I've definitely read that some K701s were brighter than others. For example, Filburt's seems to be of the warmer type.

The Unreal Tournament games have been the only games I've seriously played over the past 6 years. I remember the good old clan days of the original UT. UT2 (2k3/2k4) were very fun games (so many modes, each mode so very fun) but I wasn't as interested in the competitive play there. Now UT3 has gone back to the style of play of the original UT, and I'm loving the competitive play (has the same feel as the original). Unfortunately I can only run the game smoothly on medium settings. It looks absolutely phenomenal on maxed out settings however. The menus? Definitely worse than what 5th graders can do. I don't know what they were thinking at all.
  8. Speaking of meh, a "meh" icon was/is necessary. Perhaps this new icon fits the bill.
  9. Yes, I believe that was a recommendation for the ES-7.

    It's a rebel.
  11. I'm going to shut up now. I clearly said that I wouldn't say what, and I would never have expected those guesses either.
  12. Seriously, what are you doing? Smiling and making random guesses that are obviously wrong.
  13. Exactly my thoughts. Exactly.
  14. Not those either. But I'm not going to say what though.
  15. My CD players are 19 years old and 26 years old, still run perfectly, and have yet to suffer a single glitch. I <3 it.
  16. SRM-T1W has balanced inputs; does that mean you get the SRM-T1 to have balanced inputs without too much work?
  17. Luna is wonderful, make no mistake.
  18. Oh, that is pretty good.
  19. Not the KG, but there is crap in there.

Posty, congrats on the vinyl setup. I'm glad it arrived in time.

This only means that you've not heard enough of them (B&W and other speakers). You certainly aren't the the first person to say that; most likely you've heard people say this and joined the bandwagon. B&W may not be impressive, but they are decent. There may be many better speakers out there for the same price, but they're not overrated or overvalued. There certainly are a lot of worse speakers out there for the price. B&W is wide known and successful; success brings doubters. Though I'll have to say that their lower-end speakers aren't noticeably impressive in my opinion; there are certainly better speakers at these corresponding price points.
  22. Perhaps I should have kept the SRM-Xh. Now that I think about it, it would have been great for transportable use.
