  1. A lot can be done with a track saw, but there's really no replacing a table saw IMO.
  2. I'm still full!
  3. I got the feeling that sex wasn't a part of it. Which I found even more strange.
  4. ^ You need a router table with fence, because there's nowhere for the bearing to ride if you're cutting a full miter. Unless you tack a strip on top for the bearing to ride against. Still, not the cleanest way to miter plywood.
  5. Sunday breakfast... Scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, grits, biscuits & Earl Gray. This should carry me through to dinner time!
  6. The finer the sawdust, the better. Use one of your Festool sanders.
  7. With the complex design you chose for your first big project, I'd say you did pretty well. I would cut the trim long, then put it against the actual box to mark the angles in place. But that's just experience. That comes naturally. What doesn't come natural is the eye for design and the ability to turn that design into an actual object. You seem to have that in spades. Most would have built an easy square box. Kudos! As for putty to match the Purple Heart, simply make some Purple Heart sawdust, mix with wood glue into a thick paste and putty all gaps before it dries. Over putty, then sand level after dry.
  8. Thirded for Arm R Seal. That's what I used on the Colossus, as well as many other projects. I like to use foam brushes to apply. Put your brush inside a ziplock bag between coats.
  9. Be happy you don't live in Valdez, AK., where the snow often covers houses completely.
  10. If you want your ears to stop bleeding, here's a much better sung version...
  11. Who is Shel? If you're referring to Shel Silverstein, I don't think he sings.
  12. It's Dennis and Ray. They didn't give the whole group credit. That wasn't the greatest song choice, even though I love Elvis Costello.
  13. It's Opera. Or Opry at any rate.
  14. This is an album I had no knowledge of. It's George Jones duets. George Jones with Dr. Hook is uhm, interesting.
  15. Yep. I have parts that have been just sitting in Tracy, CA for 3 days.
  16. I can't wait to hear that sexy beast! But I have to admit that I'm having tonearm envy, because yours is so much longer than mine. I have concrete slab floors as well. That plus this beefy damn stand, and there's no movement whatsoever.

    Get your game on!

I was only kidding, because of the bareass comment.
  18. So, now with the new resistors installed and the Denon AU-300LC SUT in line, I'm getting my first real listen to the system as a whole. I can definitely hear the improvements that the Pearl brings right away, but I still sing praises to the Parasound Zphono USB. It's a really good phono stage for the money. The Pearl is just a bit better at everything though.
  19. So until 20 minutes ago I had been listening to the Colossus through the Parasound Zphono USB, because the Pass Pearl had the wrong resistors installed, and I had to turn it to near full volume to get much sound at all. And it had a ringing at that level. Marc and I mulled that over, trying to remember why it would have been set that way. We ended up deciding to change the resistors for 12K and adding an SUT, which the DL-103 really likes.
  20. Same as every gay bar I've ever entered.
  21. Personally I think this is very easily accomplished on a table saw. I would think that it could be cut and ready for sanding in less than an hour. But then again I have no experience with computer controlled milling.
  22. RIP Dr. Katzin.
  23. Can you really call it an intro if it takes up an entire side of an album? I've not heard this extended mix, but I've been a huge fan of Soft Cell since the early 80's. My Father hated it when I'd play 'Sex Dwarf' at a high volume. I had a dance completely coriographed to 'Tainted Love'. Hmmm, I just realized that maybe I wasn't as straight appearing as I thought I was.
  24. If I'm not mistaken Nate, that's a cross section pic of what's probably about a 3" threshold. What looks like a J, is a step down, due to different floor hights. I could be wrong, but that's how I read it. I'm guessing it's less than 48" wide.

    Get your game on!

Yeah, but to be fair I've been trying to stop my penis from poking through my pants for quite some time. It's not a quick fix. And as for drivers showing their butts... Is there a way to view this game, without actually playing it?
