I guess I should have prefaced by saying that I'm in the market for a more portable headphone. Nothing other than a good stat rig would pull me away from the K1000 at home. Now I'm curious about the Citiscape Downtown. They're even smaller and of coarse quite a bit cheaper. I guess I should try to audition the Creative Aurvana as well.

Tyll, loved the Fidelio L1, you were right on the money. I will pick one up as soon as they become more readily available. Sounded great driven by the Mini³ in my DAC.

Yes and yes. Of coarse that is dependent upon your DAC. This will be the first meet I'm not lugging around 100+ CDs. I'm bringing two CDs strictly for comparison purposes.

It does work with the 5.5 G, but it does not have a proper rubber adapter size for it. I did have success with some wadded paper behind it, but I have the newer gen. as well, so no worries. Grawk, I can't answer your question because I've not tried an appletv.

I like the LCD-2 and Thunderpants, as well as a few modded vintage orthos. The LCD-2 and 3 are just too pricey IMO. They do not compete with the K1000 IMO, but a fun second phone. Gonna listen to a Philips Fidelio L1 this weekend. That may become a second phone for me if Tyll was on the money. I love the JH13, but I couldn't handle them as a main phone (or any other IEM), because my ears would start to bother me.
