I ended up going with the Sony KDS-55A2000 it arrived on Monday and I've been enjoying it ever since. Just waiting on Comcast to come and install their HD box next Friday and I think I'll pick up one of the Toshiba HD-XA2's soon. That should cover the video side of things for now.

My amp was supposed to ship last night as well but to the best of my knowledge it didn't.

I've heard pretty much all the Ultrasones phones and honestly they are all pretty terrible. While I'm not a big fan of the W5000 they really probably are the best currently available closed phone, which just goes to show the sad state of full-sized headphones (especially closed phones).

The 3910 will with its better dacs

The 3910 uses newer dacs and its transport is a little bit beefier.

Pair of K1000s that I bought from hungrych arrived today. This is my 2nd go around with them, I never should have sold my first pair. Even using just my ppx slam with 6bl7 output tubes they sound absolutely fantastic.

As long as it's not the only transformer it should be fine.

Speaking of my 6528 amp I should be getting it back early next week (I'm hoping Tuesday). I was talking with Mikhail a little while ago about just how over the top for my amp is for headphones. When I have it running 6528s as output tubes total draw on the power supply is about 17 amps

The internals are pretty much what I think most people expected. Pretty similar to the Apollo except 1-dac per channel and some extra power supply filtering.

I should be getting a pair of those with my amp when it comes back

Yeah I tend to always call him just because I know e-mailing him is so hit or miss. I think he really needs to get the new website up and keep all the prices and options updated on the site. That would cover probably 90% of all the e-mails he gets.

Yeah it was the just the avatars, when I did the upgrade it replaced the entire avatar folder instead of just the one file in the folder it was supposed to. I have added a couple themes and will continue to add some of the older more popuplar ones (Helios-Multi for example) when it's upgraded to support the new version of SMF.

Not sure what you mean, but everyone has been reset to the default theme until I can add new themes.

Oh yeah and just the default theme for now, i'll start adding more shortly
