Are all opinions equally valid?
I think Thaddy is on to something here, after being around for a little while it's pretty easy to pick out a few people whose tastes in gear and music seem to be inline with mine. So for me the opinions of those people are valid.

Should I sell it all?
If you really don't use it that much and could put the money to better use elsewhere then I say yes sell it all.

APL Denon 3910 mod
That's not saying all that much

APL Denon 3910 mod
It'll be interesting to see how you think it compares to your E5. The denon has better dacs than the E5, but the switching PS in the denon is absolutely garbage. Hopefully the blackgates can clean it up some for you.

How good can a Woo 3 or Earmax get?
The Woo 3 is not an amp I'd recommend for low impedance phones like your AT's are. I think you'd be better off with a MAD Ear+ or something along those lines.

New Toy
The cups on your 325's are much deeper than the ones on my SR-200's. Probably 2 or 3 times as deep. Oh and the headband on the SR-200's is much closer to the the current prestige series headband in terms of width. I think material quality is better though.

New Toy
Well my new woody SR-200's arrived today (thanks again Juan). So far I'm pleasantly surprised, they have a pretty warm sonic signature and have much more bass than I was expecting. Here's a few pics (note these do not have hp1000 drivers):

Part number for Beyer pad for Sony MDR-7506/-V6?
You can call Beyer USA at either of these numbers: 631-293-3200 800-293-4463 They can help you out with the part number so don't worry about that.

I agree with you guys as well, for the millions of missing children we have in this country its sickening to only see media coverage when its a pretty white girl with blond hair from a rich neighborhood. It's unfortunate because I really think the media can help in solving these crimes just by getting the word out. I'd much rather see them spend a few minutes on as many missing children cases as they can instead of 4 hours on one. Personally I think the 24 hour news stations are largely to blame for this, there isn't nearly enough real news for them to fillup 24 hours with so they just turn things that aren't major stories and make them headline news. It's a pretty safe bet that the majority of people who watch the 24 hour new channels are in the middle class on up so they tailor their "stories" to that market.

I certainly didn't and lets not get ahead of ourselves, this guy could just be a nutcase trying to take credit for something he didn't do.

electrostat amp.
How about the McAlister EA-4? I've been thinking about getting a pair of Stax O2's and the EA-4 and the new amp McAlister has coming out look like pretty good options.

The sickness has spread - the vinyl rig begins...
I would hope so since your digital rig is just a sound card

RAM modifications
No they typically use op-amps instead of a tube.

RAM modifications
Well there is a tube in there . Goes DAC -> 6h30 -> output transformers

It?s a matter of Perception.
I will until someone proves to me that amps, sources and cables measure significantly different before and after burn-in.
-
It?s a matter of Perception.
Interesting data, now only if you could find something similar for amps, sources and cables . Seriously though that doesn't surprise me much, it makes plenty of sense that drivers do physically change over a period time as they are used. However I still think a lot of "huge" and "night and day" changes people report is largely a factor of the ears and brain adjusting to a new sound.
-
It?s a matter of Perception.
In my opinion I think probably only abot 5-10% of "break-in/burn-in" is actually physical, mechanical, or electrical changes. The leftover 90-95% is absolutely a persons ears and brain getting used to the new sound. If people want to consider the mental aspect of it part of the break-in/burn-in process I'm fine with that. I'm sure many people aren't fine with that which is why the "is burn-in rea"l arguements have an endless shelf life.
