  1. I disagree with the premise if you are referring to burn in. It is just as likely that ears are growing more accustomed to the phones.
  2. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.
  3. Giant bugs are the worst. This thread gives me the willies.
  4. This one looks cool, too. SM Pro Audio M-Patch 2 Monitor Control Station from zZounds.com!
  5. You and me both! Right now I am Stax ampless. But so far I've used the 007tii and the SRM1/mk2 with my O2. Of those, I much preferred the 007t. In fact, I quite liked the 007t. I thought it did a nice job with the O2, but an even better job with Lambdas. With the O2, I could tell it was not pushing them hard enough. At meets, I've heard the O2 out of the Woo GES, and while that was also very nice, it just wasn't powerful enough. Similar to the 007t. Whenever I've heard the O2 out of a KGSS, I end up saying, "oh yeah, THAT's how they're really supposed to sound." Of course, then I heard a BHSE and I realized, "oh..." But one does have to make mortgage payments, right? Anyway, to end my rambling, I will definitely post my impressions.
  6. Only one?! I have both the O2 and the HD800 at the moment. My plan is to keep both for a while. Soon I will have a B22 and a KGSS DX in the hizzouse and I think that should provide for some interesting head-to-head notes. However, if pressed right now to choose just one, I would choose the O2. I love that headphone. It's got magic in there. But I like the HD800 very very much. By far my favorite dynamic can. And I can only assume that I will view it even more favorably once I get the B22.
  7. NYC Prep.
  8. Go in-house. Being the client is MOAR FUN!
  9. ^we could make them say "Head-Case"
  10. The shortness of the cable is very odd.
  11. Getting the O2 mk1 pads properly oriented is a big pain in the ass.
  12. That's a little shelf of awesome right there.
  13. So I've been listening more to the HF2, and I like it even MOAR tonight. This is the first pair of Grados that I can tolerate for more than an hour at a time. Just a very musically satisfying sound. And I also have to add how pleased I am about how the HF2 pairs with the GLite. I've always thought of the GLite as being a touch on the bright side. But it really does a nice job with the HF2. And I also recall hearing the GLite with the AD2000 at an NYC Meet a couple of years ago; it was great, too. Conversely, I heard the AD2000 out of a rig at the last NYC Meet that made my ears hurt because it was so bright. Weird.

Hmm...Is there an easy way to see if it's shaking hands w/the iPod? (Is that the right 'puter lingo?)
  15. I think the post by "Art" after the review is a pretty good critique of Martin's piece: I didn't have as negative a reaction, but I'd be interested in how Tom Martin feels about the 800 after a year with them.
  16. I would prefer just "Grado" and "HF2"
  17. Jesus, that's bad weather. Family all ok and accounted for, 'stretch?
  18. That pic is full of laff.
  19. I have been Grado-less for a while, so it's fun to have a pair again. And it's nice to know that I won't be looking for another Grado for a good long time. I also like how easy it is to change the pads, especially after dealing with my Staxen and AT woodies. That said, the earpad foam material still sucks.
  20. To take it a step further, I'm wondering if it is possible that the "Lot of 26" has the same error, except that the "1" in the Lot of 26 looks like a capital "I". Is it confirmed that engravers were changed?
  21. Can someone explain to me how this engraving process works? Does one choose a font, template, etc.? For example, would the manufacturer (i.e., Grado) typically hand the engraver a piece of paper and say I want thesem words engraved on the cups in such and such font?
  22. Yeah, thick and more...er...poofy? I also noticed two notches in each cable coming out of the Y-split. Has anyone else noticed these?
  23. Nate, the rack looks awesome; I like the stain. The cables are cool and stealthy. That little something on the middle shelf looks interesting, too.
  24. MOAR LAWYERS!
