I have read some of headfonia's reviews, they are the worst I have ever read . Amazing how any self proclaimed expert can babble some crap and have lots of readers. But again, it is the same for anything in the internet. Lots of "experts" on just about anything.

It really is amazing.. 727 size, KGSSHV sound. Makes the other builds here look like giants. When boards are available, would love to build one of these. Thanks Birgir and Kevin

My Sigma 404 looks like new It has been relegated as a second choice by the 009, but still listen to it from time to time.

I have been very happy with the Stax 009. The cable seems to be able to withstand a great deal of abuse. Albeit they may not be as nice sounding as the Panasonics.

Well, the off board amplifier is working again as there was nothing wrong with it except for the blown toroid which I replaced early with Jwzhan's extra transformer. Richard from SumR told me he will build a replacement toroid, which will go back to Jwzhan Thank you man! I also disconnected the relay and the e24 replacing the momentary switch with a latching one.

It may be the fact that being deeply into audio and listening to insanely high volumes,since age 13 that messed up your hearing.

I think if you increase the grip, it makes the electrons track tighter, and they are less likely to scatter. Hence the tighter bass. Just Saying

Well, it is the transformer. I removed it from the amp and every time it starts it blows a fuse. Already emailed Primrose
