  1. Bah, proper caps are for pansies. Real men have high voltage exposed croc clips!
  2. Might want to re-seat that fourth HE-60 pin while you're in there. I can't offer you any advice re: disassembly though, sorry.
  3. When chosing between the BHSE, A10 and WooES for the HE90, one should pick the Aristaeus.

I own the Gunther album. It's awesome.

  6. Do you watch more than 2 a day?
  7. Just spotted the custom cut plastic Stax Socket, that's pretty slick.
  8. That would look stunning in a champagne finish. It's a good time to be a electrostat owner. What we really need to know though is if we can go plugging the TakeT into this or the A10 as well as the BHSE

The actual unboxing video I did seriously because I wanted to have proper evidence in case I had to sue this guy for being a fucking idiot. Fortunately none of the damage was substantial it was a close thing though. Another turn on the torroid bolt and it would have been off and bouncing around the inside. The feet were destroyed and the casework bent.

Yeah, spared no expense on the blue screen effects too.

  12. You should video the process of your Frankensteinian electrical experiments for posterity!
  13. He got his money back after it exploded and lodged shards of casework in his face one is given to understand. He also owns the Amp2 for the AMT, which is a much more interesting product, for me anyway.
  14. I'm going to be wiring up my (finally here and the worse for being packed by a moron) F5, but (one of the) doubts that occurs to me is what sort of wire I might need to use. I've got lengths of generic speaker cable, CAT5 and such, but it occurs that I might be supposed to use a particular spec wire I don't actually have in case it melts or something. Advice?
  15. Excellent guide sir. Bravo.
  16. Good job there sir! I don't suppose that you took photos of the process? My understanding of why it's difficult is because it's tricky to reassemble the parts of the cages/housing after they've come apart.
  17. Indeed. Havent had oppertunity to remove them from the plastic box yet, too busy fuming over this amp. I'm excited
  18. The casing not being securedly tightened together, the circuit boards being loose the torroid almost loose enough to have gone smashing around the insides like a singlepower wallmart, tape stuck over the front panel and holes in what, for lack of a better term, one could call the box, suggest he didnt give one. Odd because this is supposed to be an audio business. I made a couple of films with my flatmates camera. So once I can get the files off it you'll get to hear my lovely voice doing the unboxing. Nothing seems smashed or broken, which is the upside. Although the fact that I bought it incomplete means I can't exactly test for fault.
  19. Well the mostly built Firstwatt F5 I paid for more than 4 weeks ago finally arrived (after I lodged a paypal claim). The box seems to be more parcel tape than cardboard and there might be one of two foam peanuts inside. I'm not opening it until I have a camera. I have ominous feelings. Good thing I did open the dispute before the window closed maybe. When I posted out the old Mini-Aleph I used egg crate foam, newspaper and reinforced the box with wood. Aren't you supposed to take care when you're sending something very heavy? A second, far better put together parcel also arrived. That one I am going to open...

Home .:: GoldenEye: Source ::. A HL2 Modification Download the beta and give it a whirl. Its a much better effort than the HL1 remake ever was. I have extremely high hopes for the end product. We see remasters of albums and re-releases and directors cuts of DVDs all the time, but the only games which seem to get that sort of treatment are simple (pacman, pong, tetris) or intrinsic to a company (sonic, mario). I really believe that theres a big potential for rebuilds of old games. How many people would rather have a Deus Ex remake, rather than the awful fucking shitty second sequel that DX3 is doomed to be? Black Mesa is going to remake HL1 the way Valve should have done in the first place. I'm looking forward to that too.

I can see what I'm supposed to see which cannot be unseen once seen. However, I am unable to actually see what I am supposed to see. Thus, unseeing it is moot because I am unable to see the secondary see. Ergo, knowledge of the secondary see is insufficient for the negation of primary see. Now I want to play Goldeneye. I really wish those chaps working on the Source remake would go faster. It looks to be most awesome so far.
