  1. I use ABS filament for printing the jack. The melting point is aorund 200 C. For normal solder jobs, it's been OK.
  2. You'll need to get some CMC 8P Tube Sockets like this: I use them on my recently built KGST and they are working very well. Please PM me your address and I'll send a few to you. Wachara C.
  3. I have some jacks printed out by my 3D printer. Wanna try?
  4. My KGST is running too hot. I can't put my hand on the top plate for more than 3 seconds. I did drill some holes on the bottom plate and many holes on the top. Should I put a lot more holes on the top plate? Or would it be better to do more holes on the bottom? By the way, it sounds amazing when it's really hot.
  5. I hired a local friend to make the wooden chassis for me. He sure does a lot better job than I can. I like it white, sir.
  6. My KGST is done. What a wonderful sounding small amp it is! I still need to tidy up my wiring, but really can't wait to hear how it sounds.
  7. Wow! What voltage are you running it at now?
  8. You might also have a blown 80N80C too. Please check. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Happy birthday Shelly!
  10. Wow! What a nice and small KGST! Just beautiful!
  11. Happy birthday!
  12. But, the JK Float style headphones sound pretty good even without any seal. There is plenty of bass too.
  13. Thank you guys!
  14. Congratulations, Frank! I wish one day I could try out your amp with my DIY headphones.
  15. Got the PCBs today. They look nice. Thanks.
  16. Even some cheap floor cleaners work.
  17. Hi HS, What headphones are you using with this amp?i
  18. That tube tracer looks like a good buy. It's so very tempting.
  19. Nice! I like the red color.
  20. Beautiful work!
  21. I'm in for a set too.
  22. I have listened to a pair of 4070 before, and it sure has bass. I'm wondering how Stax does it. By the way, ChrisX, if you are able to design an open back cover (3d design), I can help you print them out with my 3d printer. Then you can change the cover to see if the sound is any better. Wachara C.
  23. That's what happens when you close the back side of electortatic headphones - no bass. Wachara C.
  24. Wow!!!
