Oh yes, been waiting for this one for a long time. Can't wait to play this weekend.

Wow, it is so good! I was 10 years old when the original came out and I can remember playing multiplayer against friends in the days when we had to manually dial each other's 28.8k modems. And with the remaster:

Maybe if you smoke enough they actually start to sound good? š¤£

Over the weekend I met up with friends and had my first meal at a restaurant (outdoors) and hung out with those friends and others (also outdoors, on someone's roof deck) for the first time since March. That felt really, really good. I hope this virus continues to fuck off and we can keep making progress in getting life back on track.

So I first read this book as a college freshman and remembered absolutely loving it. It has been about 20 years now, so I figured it would be a fun book to pick up and re-read during all this time while we've been stuck at home. Wow... times change... I guess I've changed? I couldn't get through it a second time. I really did not enjoy it much at all on a 2nd read, which is not what I expected. A lot of the social/political/sexual things that felt unique and daring to 18-year-old-me miss the mark for me now. I guess I'm not much of a libertarian. Thought about re-reading Stranger in a Strange Land as well, but maybe its best to remember the fond memories I had of reading it at the time.

Tidal says it is Live at Leeds 50th anniversary. As such I pay respects to the new boss, even if it is the same as the old boss. http://read.tidal.com/article/leeds-pete-townshend

Very. The ARM based stuff is likely to come in on the low end, like it has on the Windows side. It is not a replacement for the big boy x86 processors (yet).

I think you are safe for now. Apple's innovation has been slowed by delays at Intel in moving off the 14nm processing node. Unless Apple switches suppliers of their desktop and laptop CPUs to AMD they are going to be handcuffed to the Intel product release schedule. As such, any big improvements in CPU performance on the iMac line is probably 2-3 years off.

Our little biscuit boy has grown up to be a biscuit man! Happy birthday, buddy!

American Experience got around to doing their retrospective on the GW Bush presidency, and it is excellent. Harsh but fair. I enjoyed it very much. Knowing what we know now I think there is no way in hell he should have been given a 2nd term, but, having had one, did a much better job leading the nation from 2005-2008 than he did from 2001-2004. What a fucking awful mistake to go into Iraq though. https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/films/george-w-bush/

Happy birthday, Rob!

My friend, as a healer-main I 100% know the feeling! The nice thing is that as I've improved as a player and moved on to more difficult content the avoidable damage tends to one-shot or otherwise delete the DPS players so fast that they cannot have any expectation of being saved from their own stupid mistakes.

This has been perfect for life in quarantine. Few games scratch the "parts of the machine" itch better than this one. None of the three roles (damage dealers, healers, tanks) can do it by themselves, but all need to work together in harmony to accomplish the group goals. It feels so good when everyone plays well and overcomes hard challenges as a team. If any HC'ers play and want to add me, let me know!

Happy birthday, Chris!

This hurts to say, but I thought season 3 of WW was so bad that I think I might actively try and avoid Jon Nolan/Lisa Joy produced content in the future. I'm totally done with the show at this point.

I finally tried plugging a mouse into my iPad. This is pretty slick! Iām impressed how well the cursor is integrated into iOS. Well done, (cr)Apple!
