I've also been listening to some of their acoustic tracks on Tidal scattered in their various EPs. The acoustic stuff is great. Really makes me wish they would release an entire album of acoustic takes. I've always been a sucker for when they cut it loose. The old Dalton Bros. bit has always been a favorite of mine.

1,600 nits peak HDR brightness and 1,000 nits sustained? Think of the things that kind of light will do for your room!

You don't need a Mac Pro but you DO NEED the XDR display!

RIP Paul Volcker. Doing the right thing isn’t always popular, but it still is the right thing. NPR Planet Money episode on him: https://t.co/OTMqCSQZqC?amp=1

Week after week I kept waiting for this show to disappoint and week after week it just gets better and better. HBO has something special here. What a pleasant surprise this show has been!

Happy birthday, SG!

Yeah, he is such a dickhead, but it is hard to argue against this as being the top pop music album of the decade. Maybe of the last 20 years. It doesn't have the impact it did when it first came out (holy crap you have to hear this!)but it is just so darn good.

Been seeing a bunch of "best of the decade" lists lately and glad to see Robyn well represented.

Maybe it comes with a fart noise setting like the vehicles?

I had never heard about Cryptic Crossword Puzzles before seeing this video but now I want some! I'm probably too dumb to do them on my own, but they are really really clever. -
Just finished The Golden Compass, Book 1. I'm ready to start the HBO series now! I enjoyed reading it, but I'm not sure I liked it as much as others seem to. Pullman strikes me as a decent writer, but coming off reading Ursula Le Guin his prose just isn't in her league. To be fair, few authors write as beautifully as she does. So many people seem to LOVE this series. I'll start in on book 2 and see if it hooks me more.

RIP Jack Burton Carpenter. Founder of the Burton company, snowboarding pioneer and champion of the sport. While I'm not a snowboarder myself, I'll tip my skis to him next time I am on the slopes. Fuck cancer.

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/if-the-astros-stole-signs-how-much-did-it-help-them/ Super curious to find out what, if anything, comes of this Astros scandal. Would the MLB go so far as to invalidate their championship?

Hillbilly Shakespeare, indeed. Still amazed at his output given that he never made it to age 30.

https://lwlies.com/articles/david-lynch-tv-commercials/ The commercials of David Lynch. Even the wholesome pasta one feels disturbing.
