  1. Finally caught all the way up in Twin Peaks and I'm ready for the two-part finale this weekend. God damn I am going to miss this show when its over. It is the weirdest shit on TV. I fucking love it.
  2. No questionably street-legal racing slicks, Grahame? Shame!

    Get your game on!

^ As Witcher 3 (together with its DLC) is my favorite game of all time, I'll be in for Cyberpunk without hesitation! I'm avoiding all trailers, write-ups, previews, etc as I'd rather experience the game as blind as possible at release. As for now, in addition to the usual diet of PUBG I've been playing the Destiny 2 PC Beta with @Grahame. It is outstanding, and I'll be looking forward to the full game coming out in late October. It is shocking how well the PC beta runs after playing a bit of the first Destiny on Playstation. Anyone interested in joining for cooperative shenanigans with the HC crew is more than welcome! Even @MexicanDragon can join in, provided he fixes his computer... it has been sitting idle and neglected since Brent broke it at the beginning of the summer.
  4. Hang in there, Steve! So sorry to hear the news.
  5. That was a lot more fun that I thought it would be. He may be a horrible human being but he is one HELL of an athlete.
  6. Never say never! I never thought my old man would pass 500 bottles, let alone 1,500. Then he discovered wine auction sites...
  7. In a goth kind of mood.
  8. My Dad has roughly about 1,500 bottles now and he owns a number of these types of coolers. My advice is to get one with nice pull-out drawers. Think of it more as a way to display the bottles you really want to drink than as long term storage. A cool/dark basement is really all you need for long term storage and aging. These wine coolers are more of a luxury, but the ones with nice pull-out drawers are really nice for choosing what to drink. You can use them for aging wines, but they aren't really necessary for that purpose. Just my 2 cents.
  9. Spec-tac-u-lar!
  10. Seems appropriate for an ass-early drive down to Salem, OR to go witness certain celestial phenomena.
  11. This guy does a great job with reviews. https://www.dcrainmaker.com/ Hope it helps!
  12. Lead us to the promised land, Black Moses!

  14. Sorry to hear that, Kerry.
  15. Acca-Dacca to power thorough to the end of the week.
  16. I had the same reservations as you, Al, but there is a lot more 4k and HDR content than I expected on Netflix/Amazon and the other streaming services.
  17. I'm sort of surprised they don't have the two of you do some limited paid consulting.
  18. If I had to make a list of my five favorite people in the music business you can bet your ass Brian Eno would be on it.

I'll say this... Bannon definitely has an interesting past. https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/steve-bannon-once-guided-a-global-firm-that-made-millions-helping-gamers-cheat/2017/08/04/ef7ae442-76c8-11e7-803f-a6c989606ac7_story.html
  20. New Arcade Fire. Just finished listening for the second time. It is solid, but they set the bar so high I'm finding it hard not to feel a little disappointed.
  21. Fun read. I was born in 85 and I think I'm about 5-10 years too young for most of the references. I think RP1 might be better as a movie than it was as a book. I'll be looking forward to it next year.
  22. RIP Sam Shepard. Amazing as Chuck Yeager in "The Right Stuff" as he was in almost everything he acted in. He was also an awesome writer.
  23. Have a great birthday, Todd!
  24. Happy birthday, Mr. Torpedo!
  25. One lesson I've learned over the years is to try and not assume the opposition is dumb. If they get this ACA repeal though then they will be the ones who have laughed last.
