I use an ultra-wide monitor at work and I love it. I highly recommend it over multi-monitor unless you actually have a use case that requires multiple monitors. I am back to using the Oppo 105 as my do-everything workhorse. I really didn't hear that much of a difference between the Oppo and the Yggy and the Oppo just does so much more feature-wise. 90% of my listening these days is Tidal streaming and I can do it right on the Oppo and control it from Oppo's mobile/tablet apps. Is the sound quality as good as Vinyl or DSD rips? No. But I end up listening to so much music I'd never otherwise buy so I can't see myself doing anything but streaming going forward.

I'm actually going to skip the upgrade on the Gungnir MB I use at the office. Honestly, it sounds like a solution to a problem I don't have. I am less and less trusting of the hype and claims coming out of Schiit these days.

His best album? I think it gets my vote.

Rip to Mr. Landau and Mr. Romero. Landau had so many great roles its hard to keep track while Romero's "Dead" trilogy is maybe my favorite horror series of all time.

I'm with Dan on this. If you already own a DSLR then the cameras on the current-gen flagship phones have all but killed the need for a point-and-shoot.

New Broken Social Scene on Tidal.

In going from a vintage mid-2000's Panasonic plasma to a brand new OLED TV the biggest thing that stands out to me isn't the 4k resolution, its how good the lighting looks in HDR content. My goodness is HDR ever a game changer (at least for me). Thankfully almost every show Netflix and Amazon makes has HDR now. Some of my PS4 games also seem to have HDR patched in, and they look phenomenal as well. I don't see myself ever buying a 4k blu-ray player, but I would be curious to see HDR movies going forward.
