I had tickets to a Velvet Revolver show back when I was in law school that got cancelled because of his substance abuse problems. I was bummed to miss the show and I'm sad he was never able to turn his life around.

Really fun little amp. I'm looking forward to getting to A/B it with an original Crack/Speedball. It is amazing how different it sounds from the SuSy Dynalo. If I had to pick one, it'd be the Dynalo, but I don't and won't. It is a fantastic change of pace amp and makes super relaxing pairing with the HD650s.

Got up early to go for some spirited driving. I took the Panoramic Highway out to Stinson Beach, grabbed a cup of coffee at the cafe, then took Highway 1 back to Tam Junction. Obviously I couldn't care less about diesel Porsches. I worry that there has been something rotten going on at the core of Volkswagen group for quite a while. The deeper this thing goes the uglier it seems to get.

A Porsche has long been my dream car, but the deeper this thing goes the more harm they do to the brand. I won't be in the market for one for many years but some of the bloom has come off the rose.

Why not just go full reel-to-reel at that price point? The "Tape Project" albums on a good reel-to-reel sound as good as anything I've ever heard.
