I might be wrong, but I thought there was a bunch of research showing that a mild version of the "hot hand" actually does exist in pro basketball? I liked it, I didn't love it. War is hell, and this book is great at showing it. Especially in the final act. There are some parts of the book that are absolutely fantastic, particularly those involving Pilar and Pablo... especially Pilar. She is an amazing charachter. Her scene describing the actions against the fascists in chapter 10 was the highlight of the book for me. I heard Hemingway named his boat after her. I wish Robert Jordan had been a more likable lead. I never really warmed to him. Also the literal translation of the Spanish gets annoying fast. That particular aspect of the book has aged very poorly. 4/5.

Fu*&$^%*#&$^k!!! Without a healthy Curry play-making and hitting shots we just can't beat these guys. He clearly is not himself. I have to hand it to OKC though, they've been absolutely incredible.

FWIW, at the last bay-area mini-meet we had a big shootout with 1k-2k tube amps. We had: My Crack 2 The DNA Stratus The EC Zana Deux Super One of Mikhail's Singlepower OTL amps. ECP Torpedo III My memory may be off, but I think the DNA Stratus came in dead last for everyone who did the test except the guy who owned it. I'm not sure its the amp I'd lust after to pair with the HD800s.

It was a fun game. The call at the end annoyed me too, but the Warriors had already given the game away in the 2nd half. The missed call just made a very unlikely comeback more unlikely than it already was. Warriors are going to have to play better if they are going to win this series, in particular the Warriors centers. Klay also didn't seem like himself after RWB nearly decapitated him with an elbow on the big collision the two of them had. I hope he didn't get a concussion. I gotta hand it to the OKC guys though. Adams was amazing (+19!!!) and Chuck nailed it, RWB is tough as nails. He took some very big hits and came right back to dominate the second half. -- They say a series doesn't really start until someone loses at home. Well... game on!

GSW v. OKC should be really fun to watch. The stars are going to shine bright. With Steph, Klay, Draymond, Russ and KD there are 5 of the top 15 players in the NBA that are going to be on the floor to start these games. I think Warriors get it done in 6. I hope this series makes up for what seemed like a slightly disappointing OKC v. SAS conference semis. The first and last games were blow outs, and two of the closer games were marred by horrific officiating on the final possession. -- If Toronto can even get a game off Cleveland I will be impressed.
