  1. Good suggestion Tom. However, Trav did pay for the last big meet without asking for any help. I'm more than willing to help him out this time.
  2. Guys...will the Lansing Greybox B type be big enough to house the on-board heatsinks KGSSHV boards? Thanks. http://www.lansing-enclosures.com/main/graybox/b-style/
  3. Bret, I already mentioned that to Tom, but I'm not sure if he will be able to attend. I'll make it during the meet for sure, but may not be able to hang out afterward...but will try. I met up with Fitz yesterday and I certainly can help out with the ride from/to the airport if needed be. Wish you can attend as well krub Mr. Chinsettawong.
  4. A little over a month now. Can't wait. Brent, will you bringing your Aripower to the meet? I recently bought the PicoPower....will bring that as well.
  5. I bought the first used one that came up from the other site and have been very impressed with it. For its size, I doubt that you can do any better. Work great with my JH13pro as well as my R10 & Qualia. I'm still debating which is better b/w my Pocket Reference and Pico (likly the Pocket Ref by a hair). For reference, the Pico Power is 1/3 the size of my Pocket Reference. Bought a well priced rechargeable li-on from Amazon and I get over 30 hours so far. http://www.amazon.com/Maximal-Power-Combo-MaximalPower-Rechargebale/dp/B007VIZRAW/ref=pd_sim_e_3
  6. I own the W4S DAC-2 and think it is an excellent value at the asking price. It may sound a little mechanical but it has excellent resolution and details. All the positive reviews are true. Still I prefer my Modwright Denon 3910 to it. It is not as compact as most think but it is still much smaller than the PWD and approximately twice the size of the Benchmark DAC-1. I also own the April Music Eximus DP-1 and think it is a great DAC. I need to do a direct comparison b/w the W4S DAC-2 vs. Eximus DP1, but going from memory....I likely prefer the DP1 due to greater musicality. The Eximus is not that much bigger than the Benchmark DAC-1 and is portable enough.
  7. Trav, I'll be in for one!
  8. I can help with that as well though my time maybe slightly more limited given that I'm a new daddy. Let me know what I can do to make this happen.
  9. Wow...Brent!!! That's great job man. I'll contact Drew Audio to see if he would like to attend. Purk
  10. I should be able to attend Brent. Thanks for the head up. Let me know if I can help you out with anything.
  11. Thanks for the offer. Got my Audio-Technica AT-DHA3000 back from my tech and it is working great again....so I won't need a DAC for work.
  12. @ Skull What was the traded in DAC ?

Thanks Dusty. Wonder if we these freq-phased versions will match the sound quality of the JH3A + 16pro? Tyll, spill the beans please.

In my case, their site was having problems accepting the discount code right at the end of the sale period. I had no choice but to pay full price and get discount afterward. I was trying to beat the deadline so I had to send my order through but they ending up extending the sales any way due to the problems. Still I love my JH13pro. I'm seriously wonder though how good is their business these days given several mfgs are now offering CIEMs and these guys have better customer service to boot. Has anyone placed an order on the new JH13/16 and compare to their old pre-freq. versions?
  15. purk replied to atothex's topic in Portable Audio
Well, make sure you get the artwork and color selection finalize prior to order as they will not be willing to make any alteration even if you offer to pay additional money. I ran into this last year because I wanted to change the color on my JH13pro immediately after I submit my order. Despite that, I'm a very happy customer but sure wish that their customer service is a bit better.
  16. Speaking of hi-rez playback, I'm actually a bigger fan of DVD-Audio than SACD, sadly it is no longer available. One can easily rip DVD-A tracks into 24-96 or 192 using a DVD-Audio Explorer Software. I dislike SACD due to copyright stuffs by Sony. Has anyone here successfully ripping their SACDs using Playstation 3?
  17. Did he ever get it back?

Love the show as well. This show really keep me glue to the TV set. Really good stuff.
  19. Thanks for your take on those DAC!! Your impression on them is really helpful. I had the Pico DAC in the past but sold it as I want a DAC that can handle hirez files and my DHA3000 is not functioning properly as of late; so I need an interim solution while it travels to Japan and get repair.
  20. I thought it is more like 50% Seriously though, is the W4S DAC-2 comparable to a PS Perfect Wave DAC 1?
  21. Has anyone tried the W4S DAC 2? I really like mine. I need a DAC in $500 range for work rig though. Is the PS Digital Link III a good buy at the $450 range?
  22. Thanks for the update. Stay safe Tom.
  23. Be safe guys!! Hope everyone charged up their portable gears before the storm.
  24. I spent an hour convincing my wife's brother-in-law not to purchase the Beat and to consider Sennheiser or other brands instead.. I failed. He still went with Beat Pro.
