New Oppo player for late 2012
Let me resurrect this thread a bit. I finally bought a silver BDP-105 and I also currently have the NAD M51. Overall, I like the M51 better due to its more refined and neutral presentation as well as having wider & deeper soundstage. I also notice a more solid imaging together with noticeably better bass response on the Nad. On a side note, I also found the Oppo to be near identical sonically to my W4S DAC-2 after several back-and-forth comparisons. In the end, I preferred the W4S to the Oppo due to slighty better extension on both ends of the spectrum. IMO, of course.

Sennheiser HD 800 Redux
- Sennheiser HD 800 Redux
This is his exact words: Well, he didn't say anything about the L2. I really enjoyed the L2 & DSHA-1 side-by-side when they were both here. Radio_head was kind enough to loan me the DSHA-1 for 3 weeks while Doug sent over the L2 for two weeks. Both are marvelous sounding amps and a bargain at the asking price. I no longer have the HD800 with me, but both amps work wonder with my R10 & Qulia. I almost pulled the trigger on the L2, but decided not to b/c I already have the Gilmore Reference Balanced.- Sennheiser HD 800 Redux
When I asked about buying the DSHA...Dough informed me that he is moving into another design and may not make any more DSHA-1 unless more demand appears. Hope he will make some more now given that the two amps are gaining popularity.- Sennheiser HD 800 Redux
Bubliss, myself, and Radio_head love the DSHA-1. That's one fine product as well. Doug should bring the L2 & DSHA-1 back to production.- Sennheiser HD 800 Redux
I love both amps. Thanks to Doug I was able to listen to the L2 for couple of weeks. If I don't already own the Gilmore Reference Balanced, I would have already bought the demo L2. Birgir, have you had the chance to check out the DSHA-1?- Happy Birthday Tyll!
Happy belated birthday Tyll.- Goodbye Denver :(
Very sorry to hear. RIP Denver.- RIP George Duke

Congrats GeorgeP!!- Group Buy for KG's Boards (2nd)
Compared to the balanced dynalo designed, how good is the squarewave? I love my original Gilmore Reference Balanced. Thanks KG.- Happy Birthday Mike!

Super nice price you got though. That gotta go be the cheapest BH in awhile. Great purchase!- Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's day to all as well despite being two days late.- Anyone have Headphile Vixens with Grado SR325is drivers
They are not comparable to really good open headphones but heck they are considerably better than the Denon D7000 after a simple cable upgrade. Let's face it ...most closed dynamics under $1000 are a bit boommy.- Anyone have Headphile Vixens with Grado SR325is drivers
Around $400-500 for a well used pair. I think they go up to $700 or $800 on a near NOS one. Seriously though, a recabled CD3000 is really good.- Anyone have Headphile Vixens with Grado SR325is drivers
Larry is crazy. He destroyed countless Sony MDR-CD3000s as well as HP-1000s to create his phones. I once owned a tricked out Sony MDR-CD3000 with exotic woodcups. I later ditched those cups b/c I like the sound of the stock CD3K with upgrade cable better. Guys...I miss the CD3K....those are wonderful headphones. I remember trading my minty CD3k for a Canon G6 once....that was a stupid deal!- Happy Birthday Mrarroyo!
Happy birthday as well. - Sennheiser HD 800 Redux
