That sounds about right to me.

Is it a digital stepper in the Capitole? Or do they have one of those Joshua tree types where it is a pot controlling the steps? I doubt there is a 100 position switch in there, but if there is, I'm impressed.

The Luna is a great amp, my favorite from the first National with my K340s... and that includes the SDS-XLR and Headroom Balanced Max. Though the Singlepower was rolled with tubes to match the R10s, so who knows if more appropriate K340 tubes were used.

I've heard this before and it puzzles me, but I guess it could be a preference thing. I used to own a pair of HF-1's, and I liked them well enough, but I thought the RS-1 was a clear step up with the right amp. Recently I've been falling back into the Grado camp, and flirting with the RS-1 and MS-Pro. Maybe I should give the HF-1's another listen given my new tastes. Also, though I know there must be some variance in Larry's mods, I thought that the HHF-1's I heard [pixel_pusher's pair] were actually worse than my stock HF-1's back when I owned them.

I'm the same way. At least you know that your final product will be in perfect working order and built to your specifications... not all manufacturers are so reliable that way.

Sweet, that's what I was thinking of. I was also pretty happy with my T-Amp/Polk RTi4 setup with my computer. Thats been regulated to the TV/Wii now though and I use my QP85's and a mosfet amp on my computer.

Crap, can't remember what they are called... little planar speakers made for the computer... come on, someone help me out here. Anyways, heard them in windsor and they were pretty decent.

Maybe you're wearing them wrong? At a recent meet I played around with positioning on the RS-1's and Ms-Pro's I was listening to and it made a remarkable difference.

Looking closer at it... kit for $99... uses 6H30. I have 4 6H30's that I'm not using. Could this circuit be balanced if you bought two kits?
