  1. I'm with you, Chris re poundage. I've been riding on a trainer during the week, but got out on the actual with John today for the first time in months. It felt good to be out again, but damb.......
  2. I'm late to this thread, but want to you a happy birthday and wonderful year for you and your family.
  3. Cool, Brent. My first road bike was an orange Schwinn. Loved it.
  4. Agree with the nice pics, Ari So since I disappeared from the computer for a bit, I seemed to have missed you getting a Calfee. Care to recap for me? Congrats! livewire, I met a guy who started riding at age 65, was over 300 pound at the time, and is now the President of the local riding club where some of us have congregated to for three-day riding fests. He not only does centuries, he could probably kick most of our azzes on one. Yesterday was the first day I felt good and even a bit strong on the bike. Did some intervals without dying and upped my watts. Was waiting outside the Computrainer place at 5:30 this morning, actually motivated to ride, but no one showed to let me in. Oh well. Everyone overslept. I don't think I can do much, if any, actual outside riding on the weekends until my mother leaves at the beginning of next month. I'm choosing to spend what free time I have with her, which has actually been really good this year, as opposed to former years where I'm really ready to have my home back to myself. I'd like to get in a least an hour on Saturday and/or Sunday.
  5. Heal up, Justin. So the Gunnar is sold. I took a bath, but it went to a lady I actually like, so that counts for a lot in my book. I've been on the Computrainer four days a week for three weeks now. I suck.
  6. So I've been on the Computrainer five days a week for two weeks now, and once on the road. I'm in horrible shape.
  7. Yup. And I still love it. It makes me want to ride more.
  8. Got the puppy on October 18 and maybe rode for a total of 50 miles between then and a couple weeks. I've been back every other day for almost two weeks now. I'm fat and slow all over again. Oh well. Other than kicking myself for getting out of shape, it feels really good to be riding again. I've got a potential buyer for the Gunnar, and I'm keeping the Calfee.
  9. Happy belated birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Wishing everyone a good year!
  11. Sorry to be late, but glad you had a good birthday, and I'm wishing you a good year!
  12. Just catching up on things. Sorry about Ozzy. On the freakishly fun side of petdom, Waton's real sister (confirmed with the breeder) showed up at day care today with Watson. I'd met the family at a restaurant, and knew they had gotten the sister, but they have a home in North Carolina, one in Denmark, and spend only a little time locally. I'd never seen her before, and in fact, hadn't even thought about her until today. Meet Dottie, now renamed Shelby. Hmmmm. Well, apparently, I can't figure out how to post a video from photobucket. Oh well. Click on the pic,
  13. Great little kitty. RIP Greystone.
  14. Waiting for the rain to stop so I can load up gear. Based on the whole dang morning, not sure that's going to happen. Gonna give it a half hour more.
