  1. My transport will be a Mustang, with gears in the back seat. Can't hold more than my friend and I.
  2. I think I'm fully in, as if you ever doubted.... Leaving Friday after I get off work, whenever that is. I'll bring as much as I can get together, definitely TT and the MPX3 w/ DT880. May have a friend in tow, because he has nothing better to do and his car definitely doesn't suck.

    DEXTER

Reporter girl just stepped it up a notch. I still like the show.

Finally, a review of the Dacia Sandero!
  5. A couple things I found when buying a TV last year (and again after the first got stolen). Samsungs are indeed excellent but you have to be careful that your panel was actually manufactured by Samsung. There are lots of places to find which product numbers correspond to genuine Samsung panels, usually the product number followed by an "A" rather than a B or higher. Beware of Best Buy sales, they're always on the imposter panels. I ended up with a Toshiba 42" which was the best deal for the money at the time. LCD's with the flourescent backlight (like mine) indeed do not go to black. This is really only a problem with very dark scenes in movies. For football and general TV watching they'll probably never care. I haven't personally spent much time with the LED backlit TV's yet but the idea is solid.
  6. Precisely. The transmitter and receiver can be opened easily so a rewire from inside, to a jack or whatnot, could be pretty simple.
  7. That was beef, in the burgers, but we also drank some serious beer. Dugg, last night we popped an Isle of Arran from your boys at Brewdog. Good stuff, funky smelling but awesome complexity. Really grew on me. Brewdog showed up in my store about 2 weeks after Danjam . Best of the weekend though was the De Dolle Oerbier Special Reserva.

They're finally going to do the upside-down in a tunnel thing. Awesome. And hey, that's this Sunday. Kickass.
  9. I've had the wireless unit for a while. You'd have to do some rewiring to make it work, but overall the thing is very nice. And yeah you can buy it seperately.
  10. So I picked up my Sleek CT6 customs today, and I'm liking them a lot. I was worried that since universals bother me, I might not enjoy the JH13's enough. That's pretty much answered as I've been wearing the CT6 for about 6 hours now with no problems. Now to really start saving up.
  11. I'll stand up for them on this one, indeed they had some missteps with the SA6 but they're turning it around now. The newest SA6 model is much more solid, and the SA1 felt very sturdy during my brief time with them.
  12. I saw that the SA-1 has been launched by my boys at Sleek. 3mm dynamic driver, not balanced armature . I heard this a couple weeks ago when I went down for custom impressions, and I'll say that for $80 this thing is pretty cool. Didn't bring my own source so I ended up borrowing an iTouch from Bill@Sleek. For now I'll blame a bit of treble strangeness on unknown encryption or something. These shine in the bass and midrange, and for the price could be a nice pair of beater IEMs, or an awesome gift.
  13. The bachelor party I that I wouldn't miss for the world is indeed planned for Dec 5th. I wouldn't miss this for the world either, though, so I'll see you all on the 4th and head out on Saturday morning.
  14. Yeah this meet is out of control. Does team florida need its' own forum so our little meets don't end up bigger than PJ's megameets? EDIT: That read like a complaint, when it was supposed to be more about PJ's ego. You're all cool, except Brent of course.

    holy crap that's cool
  16. Just saw this. When they show up I'm excited to have a quick listen, even if my MPX3 won't be too happy with their 32 ohm goodness. Of course I could just pretend I never saw this, and since Wayne has given me no other form of notification that there are expensive headphones landing on my door soon I could just claim total ignorance on the matter.
  17. It's alright, it's Vicki's job to keep everything straight for the impaired among us.
  18. My favorite part is in the comments section. Apparently the intended song was "Highway to the Danger Zone", as in the Youtube link. However, someone decided this was "too 80's", and instead the game opener featured "Dr. Feelgood". Yes, that Dr Feelgood, from the 80's. I like it, Grahame.
  19. The whole game felt like an old school Half Life mod, just slightly more polished. I didn't really enjoy it, sadly .
  20. I've gone a bit crazy at Chipotle before, and they've always been accomodating. Never realized it was company policy.
  21. Pfft, sunglasses. I say since you're getting older, you need to pick up some ridiculous old lady collection. Maybe decorative and commemorative plates, those are fun. Or thimbles! Thimble Collectors International Home Page
  22. I really like the fills in regular rock band. I would agree that the Beatles version making you play the fill and kicking in overdrive at the end is a bit lame, but they were sticking to their gameplay mechanic and the fills are the only challenging drum bits in the whole Ringo repertoire. I admit that I haven't played GH drums nearly as much as RB, but I never got used to the hitting both cymbals thing and so thus I don't like it. Again, I'm just used to RB style notes now, so I'm bothered by GH more. I like the extra challenge, and sometimes the knockdown dragouts after someone fails a song are as fun as the game itself. Ok, we already had the argument where you called the Beatles "soft rock", which is a huge failure on your part. For those who *adore* the Beatles music, playing the Beatles music will be a great experience. For those who don't, you're probably going to be bored. GH5's song selection is pretty ho-hum for me. Then again RB's on-disc selections were the same way. Where RB wins is in truly excellent DLC. The only DLC I've picked up for GH was the Metallica pack, and everything else has seemed pretty weak. I'm sitting on near 300 songs for Rock Band 2, and I've enjoyed every one of them. Yes, very cool. Haven't played the GH drums yet. I've got the cymbals with my RB drums and love the setup. Sturdiness is definitely not an issue for my big badass self beating on them, usually in a drunken manner, so I think you're probably wrong. Unless the GH drums are built out of titanium and carbon fiber. Oh yeah, and since when did sales decide what was good in this world. That's the Black Eyed Peas, for "I Gotta Feeling".
  23. Drums feel wrong? Sure they're not 100% accurate but you're hitting stuff with sticks, which feels pretty awesome to me. I'm so sick of the "Play a real instrument" argument. I have, I was good at it. The difference is that I can play Rock Band with my friends who are completely musically challenged, and that's much better than trying to make friends with the type of people looking to form a band. I don't see how you'd ever expect your competently played but ultimately very boring bass recording to change someone's mind on fake plastic instruments, and I find the whole exercise a bit strange.

You made me go look her up and indeed she's been around for a while. Totally wouldn't have made the Kalifornia connection if not for IMDB.

    True Blood

When Sookie slapped her, instead of that other thing that was supposed to happen, Maryanne's response was probably my favorite thing from the entire series so far. Excellent actress, fairly kickass character.
