    America...

As a matter of fact it was brilliant if you know anything about strategy. Bush fought the war in Afghanistan where is could be won. Then he changed the battleground to one that was winnable when the enemy ran into the mountains. Sending troupes into mountains of Afghanistan is like sending sausage into a grinder. If you wanted to fight them fight them where you can win. Draw them out and you can deplete their strength. Go in and you deplete yours. If Obama goes into mountains of Afghanistan's and Pakistan I will take that as Obama only wanting to weaken us as I believe he actually plans to do and to do so to place the blame on someone else such as Bush. Those here seem to be so smart but yet have no memory of all those Democrats that also supported the war in Iraq because of the intelligence information. Weapons were found after a long investigation. There is no sense in showing the evidence to those with such closed minds. It is on the net just look. Early release of the info would have lead to others hunting for it. Therefore when it was cleared then the info release but then no one wanted to hear about it. Apparently to some 9/11 is lost in memory as well and it's effect on our country. I could make a case that this latest phase of this centuries long war started under a Democratic president 30 years ago, Mr. Carter with his demonstration of weakness. Will the latest Democratic president elect follow President Carter's rather weak example in foreign affairs and just how much more blood will this weakness cost us in the future? Obama has shown only disrespect toward this wonderful country of ours during his public life. He has no respect for this country's military, it's constitution (his own words) or this country. I fear for her.

And our President Elect campaigned in 57 states as he himself stated. The intolerance shown in this thread is astounding.
  4. I have not heard the TTVJ Millet amp but I have a theory that this amp may be something to make the ESW10JPN even more special. The reason why I say this is based on what I hear of the ESW10JPN while listening with my Yamamoto HA-02 tube amp. Tubes may just deal with this slight issue that Vicky has isolated. Someone with one of these portable tube amps please if you can listen to the ESW10JPN with one and let us know how they sound. The Yamamoto HA-02 sweetens the sound just a bit to me and makes this one sound even better to me than....I almost can't say this...but it is true....than with my UE9 that I have enjoyed so much with my Yamamoto. I normally listen using my iBasso Boa at work but on the last two weekends I have taken the ESW10JPNs to the Yamamoto while being on the computer. The Boa just fails to handle the ESW10JPN as well as the Yamamoto as one should expect.
  5. Listen to Vicky she has them sighted in really well. That decay thing has not bothered me though and I hope that I don't let it bother me either. This may be part of the high frequency part that I am not as bothered with as much as Vicky. The decay thing might be higher frequency harmonics working against her. After reading my last statement seems almost backwards from what her issue is. Can't put my hand on it better though.
  6. Yep, you are hearing correctly from my perspective.
  7. I now have both the ESW9 and the ESW10JPN. The ESW10JPN is amazing....I am sorry that it is so different but it is. He is a summary of what I am hearing with the ESW10JPN. I would not compare the ESW9 to either of my UE9s or the SR-007MKIIs but I can compare the ESW10JPNs to them. All three are very enjoyable in how they present my music to me. And of course they are all different in their own ways. Here is a small review of the ESW10JPNs that I just wrote up. Limited, wooden portable ATH-ESW10JPN arrives! 8. Started playing around with a Dell Mini tonight.
  9. When I first got my SR-007MkII and using it with my KGSS with blackgates I thought it was light as well on the musical side compared with my dynamic setup. But just in the last week I think the KGSS and SR-007MkII has jump ahead my dynamic setup in this area. My suggestion is to give it time as I have. Either I have changed or it has. I still have my dynamic setup that I listen to and it has not changed but in relationship to it the KGSS/SR-007 has. So I think the SR-007MkII has matured a bit and is becoming much more of what the promise was when I got them.
  10. ^Some Beta blockers as I was told in cardio-rehab classes are so benign as to be like fluorine and some think they should be put into the water system, not necessarily the one that I was talking about. This of course sounds very different from what you are saying. I need to get off them anyway in the long run as you stated and that is a goal of mine.
  11. I have lost about 60 pounds since Feb 08. That is since my four-way bypass surgery. I have been counting calories very closely. Lately I have needed to increase my exercise to move me off my spot that I have held at for almost six weeks. I am after another 30-40 pounds but I expect that this will take time. My exercise level over the last two weeks has been six times a week for 40-60 minutes. Three times a week at cardio rehab and the other at home on my AirDyne. On my Airdyne I do 5 minute intervals at these levels. Warm-up between 1.5 and 1.9, next interval 2.1-2.4, next: 2.6-2.9, the next period I do >3.0 with a sprint of over 4.0 for about 2 minutes before cooling down at 2.0 for an interval then 1.0 then <0.5. Yesterday this took me 50 minutes to complete. My peak HR for this was 124. At cardio rehab my range is given as 110-130 bpm so I am still below the suggested maximum at home as they instruct me to do. I am on a beta blocker so I need to watch how high my heart goes. Beta blockers lower the max. numbers quite a bit depending on which ones are being taken. I am on Sotatol for A-Fib issues that I have also developed just the six weeks or so. This stuff lowers HR a lot and I have to halve it to get myself back to an acitivity level that is adequate for fat-burning. As I have noted I am now back into exercising a bit more now. One thing that I have learn over the past several months is that counting calories is not everything. A balanced intake is the only way to make the minimum calorie set work. Otherwise, hunger sets in before it should. I can eat a nice dinner but if I am low on fat I need some ice cream (half cup). Or if I am low on carbohydrates I need a small bowl of cereal or a snack bar. The dietitian at cardio rehab told me to always eat some snack at mid morning and mid afternoon to keep myself from feeling hungry when the next meal comes along. When hungry, I eat more and faster adding on calories not needed even with a balanced intake. Note when looking at fat count on an item,if it does not add up the extra is in trans-fats. If the amount of trans-fats is below 1g they are by law allowed to state it as zero. Just one more item taken from cardio-rehab classes. Just another note, counting calories is no joke....especially at almost 58 years old and having such surgery.
  12. It would appear that this includes the headphones as well in the package.
  13. Just finish watching Gemini Division on Comcast TV Entertainment at Comcast On Demand. Very interesting. Waiting for more episodes. Weird editing to watch it. It is almost an ad for several high tech companies.
  14. My Dell Mini is suppose to ship in mid-Oct.
  15. I just ordered one as well. I plan on using it with my USB HD 320 GB and DAC/Amp. This one is dead silent and should work well as a music server.
  16. Same here and the only reason I bought the SR-404 is pure curiosity as well. The SR-404 does match up well with my T1S though while the OII works well with the KGSS.
  17. I have two Brickwall unit and one Zerosurge on various electrical items.
  18. What would be considered extreme heat on one of these headphones. Sitting on top of a warm amp in it's stand?
  19. This gives me a better appreciation for "World Wide Wrestling" now, much better.
  20. Enjoy the day as any but isn't great that you made another year. Happy Birthday.
  21. Yamamoto amps from Venus Hi-Fi -- For the Love of Music! and other amps from there are interesting as well like almarro of japan, Manley Labs, Music Reference as shown below. The forum that has some stuff concerning Venus is here: Venus Hi-Fi - AudioKarma.org Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums Music Reference components are very tempting to me.
