  1. Happy Birthday. :prettyprincess:
  2. If you first listen to an HP2 and then listen to an HP1 with one switch up and one switch down, then you'll find that they don't sound the same.
  3. Happy December Birthday. :prettyprincess:
  4. Sorry to hear the bad news. Hopefully they'll both find new and better jobs soon.
  5. Saw that the last time we were there. It was excellent, but both Stacy and I preferred "Jersey Boy", which we saw the day before. I generally let Stacy pick the shows to see. She chooses well. After all, she chose me!
  6. Stan Getz and Jo
  7. Tickets to Las Vegas for next week. Stacy actually bought them. We're going to meet Budi (Forbigger) and also spend some time with Stacy's nephew, who is stationed at Nellis. Yay!

The garage I can't help you with but nobody starts out knowing how to do DIY. There are many paths to it, but probably nothing beats just doing it and learning from your mistakes. There are lots of resources on the web and probably there are local adult ed classes that will help. Note that I can't do DIY either, but I'm starting by making my first mistakes on the Discrete Single Ended JFET Amp group build.
  9. A third possibility is to replace the internal HD with one that has a larger capacity.
  10. Uh Steve, Andrew meant real dogs. You know, canines.
  11. Yay Bugsey!
  12. I'm trying to negotiate the concession to sell tickets at CanJam for when Dr. Gilmore first walks into the RSA room. I expect it to be SRO.
  13. One tube of Colgate coming up. Here's the third one. This is a good way to find out which members are really bots.
  14. Something lite from Nugget Audio.
  15. Thanks. And to you. Well shit and drink some yourself. It's your unbirthday too! Yes. It's one of my best unbirthdays ever! Very special. Enjoy everybody, and if it's not your unbirthday today, it will be tomorrow.
  16. Today is my unbirthday. I'd like to hear them too.

It's the accent and the slightly different vocabulary that the "Belge" language has. Also, with Mr. Brel hamming it up, it gets worse. That's when Oscar starting laughing. To let you know why this is funny, here's Oscar:
  18. Cheaper than having to regularly replace broken connectors?

No. I'm getting low readings in the 4.4 to 4.9 mA range. This is with 4 devices tested. I've checked over my circuit several times and can't see a problem with it. Hopefully Marc can help me figure it out tomorrow.

Belge is such a strange language. Even Oscar was laughing.

    Shouldn't you be matching JFETs?
  22. Good dog, Bugsey!
  23. One thing interesting about Ray's new amp, afaik there is no US military plane that has ever been called "Protector".
  24. Considering that the vast majority of IEMs are plugged directly into iPods, I find that to be just a little unlikely. Now if Apple were to adopt it, it would be a different story.
  25. Bingo! I wonder if the input is balanced. Probably not. Though that wouldn't stop Ray from making custom input plug and forcing the customer to use it.
