  1. Thanks. This sink is a throw-away, but I don't want to have to replace it now. If I damage it a little, that will be OK as long as it still works. I've never had any luck with WD40 in this kind of application. I'll try the penetrating oil and tapping. If that doesn't work, I'll try an oscillating saw under the sink. If that doesn't work, I'll try the saw above the sink.
  2. Or maybe his ears.
  3. I spent several hours attempting to remove the nuts holding the faucet to the kitchen sink. They are pretty corroded and I couldn't budge them, even using a basin wrench and a crescent wrench as a cheater bar. Normally, I'd use penetrating oil and/or a torch to loosen up something like this, but I don't know how to make penetrating up go up and I'm afraid I might damage the formica top trying to use a torch. Would anybody (maybe Steve) have a suggestion about what to try next? Worst case is that I call a plumber and have him/her deal with it, but it would be more satisfying to solve this myself.
  4. Happy Birthday, Mike and Chris. I hope that you both had good ones with lots of whisky and riding, as is appropriate.
  5. I do. Vicki, have you retained Mike yet? It does suck. Sorry you won't be able to ride.
  6. He just did.
  7. No, go with the Goldman Sachs candidate.
  8. I see that you are a Sunuunu supporter. Reminds me of a great joke going around back when Bush Sr. was president: Q. If you had Saddam Hussein, Moamar Ghaddafi and John Sunuunu in a room and had a gun with 2 bullets, who would you shoot? A. John Sunuunu, twice.
  9. I understand the fruit's purpose. But shouldn't you quarantine it in a separate cup?
  10. Why wouldn't you trust her, Wayne? She's not a liberal, is she?
  11. Looks good, except won't that fruit contaminate the bacon?
  12. I rarely have the attention span to watch long videos, but that one is great. However, I don't think that my attention span would allow me to do that job day in and day out. My hat is off to people who can.
  13. Moi, s'il te plait.
  14. Dinny, really glad to hear that everything's OK with you. I agree that the noise is bad. Too bad you don't have any headphones or IEMs to block the sound. ^This.
  15. ^ This. Stay dry, warm and safe.
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. Belated Happy Birthday, Marc. Wishing you and your family a great year.
  18. It's bad news for my Little Boy. He's been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Average life expectancy with that diagnosis is 4 months. He's getting great care and is comfortable. I hope to bring him home on Friday.
  19. As of today, I'm out. I took my 14 year old cat to the emergency vet this morning. It looks like he has lymphoma or a blood related cancer. I've already spent just under $840 and I'll be spending more. That does in all my "Austin money". I just hope that he has something treatable. I'll know more tomorrow or Monday.
  20. Me too. Well, except for their prices. Nice buy, Al.
  21. Belated Happy Birthday to the three of you. Hope you each had a wonderful day.
  22. Traffic heading back Sunday pm will be just as bad or even worse. What places are you visiting? Longoria is my favorite, but there are many, many good places to try.
  23. Happy Birthday, Vicki! I hope that it has been a great one. Wishing you many more.
  24. ^ this Naaman, you have USAA, right? They are good about paying with no hassle.
