I feel a Speedy itch. Has anybody worn the new sapphire sandwich? Today I'm wearing the Cartier Drive de Cartier Extra Plat. It's my second. The very first one I gave to somebody, at a wake for their grandfather, while very drunk, right off my wrist. I always regretted it, so when I found a brand new one for $2100 I of course jumped on it. It's a perfect watch. I have it on a dark green Hodinkee epsom strap with contrast stitch (the 16m buckle from Cartier that I needed was dear for such a small little piece of metal). I'm glad to have it back on my wrist.

The JLC Calendar watch fell through (I think somebody offered more money on a different platform after my payment was accepted), so I scratched the JLC itch with a Reverso classic monoface small seconds. I like it much more than the GRUT I used to own.

The medium wears great, and that tobacco brown is a great color.

I owned the silver dial original version, which I couldn’t read due to silver on silver, but a blue dial Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar is on its way to me. I miss the silver dialed version, even though legibility was such an issue, so now that prices have come down on the secondary market I had to jump. That’s super cool!

Re: Pixma. I’ve done 2 13x19, 2 11x17 and about a dozen 8x10 prints. I’ve used about 20 percent of the dye. That seems reasonable, and suggests decent longevity. Paper is about $30 per 50 sheets. Per print cost is probably a couple bucks. If I had gotten all of these professionally printed, and it’s all photos I wanted printed and framed, we would be deep into the cost of the printer. I’m very glad I bought it. I love my Df. It’s so fun, and the sensor has a certain magic to it.

It appears that it at least comes with a full set of ink, not the “demo” set that inkjets tend to have. The quality so far on Koala satin is gorgeous. I have printed up to 11x17 so far. It’s just a lot of fun.

I set up my new Pixma PRO-200S today. It’s an absolute game changer for me.

I decided to not crop and let the center point just be off. Yashicamat is hard to get centered photos with. I find it charming. expired portra. About 10 years.

The Benchmark 3 is what I want, but budget doesn’t allow.

Maybe rearranging my desk to fit a PerfectWave 2 (which I used to own) is the way to go. That ain’t gonna fit on my desk :)

I have a DAC1 USB to a Luxman P1u to a pair of HD820. Should I do better than the DAC1? I have limited space. Probably pointless to upgrade. Wish I had a DAC still that would not fit there:
