  1. Never mind, found some
  2. I'm trying to find spring loaded binding posts, the sort where you push on the end to reveal the hole and let go to clamp the wire. I need them as a quick release thingy (not for wire) These sort of things used to be quite common in the old days but I've only found one so far and it comes with stupid speakers attached Personally I find that going a bit far just to bump up the price of binding posts but these sharks will try anything. So if any of you have/do come across something simlar, let me know. Thankee kindly mon amis
  3. I are whittlin' foo Yes, trannies and guts in a bigger biscuit tin so it all fits. If all it takes is a bigger pair to make the SRDs better then which ones to use?
  4. Funny you should mention that because when I searched for biggest tits on earth it led me to the other site...
  5. So as a compromise, seeing as I already have a SRD-7MkII, would it be easy enough to just change transformers or would other circuits need modding too? If it's as simple as plugging in bigger tranfo's I might have a go, price permitting.
  6. I was looking for internet porn, fuck knows how I ended up here...
  7. I did some more work on some Smegma Pros in my 50000000 degree garage. Hot as a mother in there!
  8. Yes, fresh air that just erupted from someones fat hairy bottom.
  9. Good lord! Did you ever recover from that particular horror?
  10. I never really came across any real brands at school apart from Doc Martins, which everyone had to have or you got kicked to shit by everyone else wearing them. It was more styles (or lack thereof) at school like flares, bell bottoms, tank tops, Abercrombies that sort of ugly-ass stuff, which at the time seemed really cool
  11. Have sex!
  12. Oh man, now I want to be as old as old pa, but not as old as Guzziguy because over 102 seems a bit much just to get cheap ihop. Oh, and when did pancake houses decide to join the stupid Apple i-thing. Honestly these places will do anything to cash in on a fad! As to all the dumb n00b questions about HD 650 amps, it's well known that the 650 doesn't need an amp and will work just fine from an ihop, erm ipod.
  13. Sowwy Reks, I didn't means to leave you... I wubs you all! *big hugs* Besides, wasn't really gone, still reading but got tied up with way more stuff than is good for me and now I'm suffering for it. I've been doing mad stuff in the ortho thread over there, getting posts deleted from the members lounge and being sent warning from mods. Welcome all the newest members to this den of vipers, cutthroats and vagabonds.
  14. I'm wondering if the Pico will have enough grunt to drive orthos (my newest best toys). They're a total fucker to drive but I still want a Pico. I'd buy one now If I could but I'm such an impatient ass I really hate waiting lists. Any of you lot have an old ortho to test with it?
  15. I have no money but plenty of guts so I'd be happy to spend someone else's money on a set.
  16. That's my babies! Good luck finding a set, I've been looking forever. To the best of my limited knowledge there has never been a set show up anywhere. They were cheap as horseshit when they were new and set the trend in clinical white hi-fi.
  17. It's been over 30 years since I had mine so recollections are vague at best. They were the best phones I could afford at the time. I did like the sound though. I imagine a modern set could be pretty amazing. The technology is proven but was never adopted by anyone else I'm aware of.
  18. The only ribbon headphones I've ever known that were a production model was the Wharfedale Isodynamic. It was unlike any other ortho in that it was an etched square crrugated ribbon affixed at two ends. The magnets were arcs and the ribbon flapped in the middle of them. Other than those, can't think of any. They were designed in 1973 and I bought mine in '76. This is what setmenu was basing his on as he owns one of the few ribbon iso's left in the universe.
  19. I can't say as I haven't heard the 501. However, I did listen to the 701 at a meet and feel my orthos are way better than the 701 to my ears. From what I've read I might prefer the 501 to the 701.
  20. Just to wake this thread up. If you do find a set to play with, ship them over and I'll have a fiddle and see what we can come up with. I'm already in for 3-4 more sets of K-SFIs and another Smegma Pros for various people, plus a possible run of K-SFI's to help feed the ortho masses with a new phone as the older ones are getting more scarce and expensive.
  21. Well you did a damn nice job of it, they look luvverly The thought had never even crossed my mind
  22. Wouldn't you be better off trying the mod on the 400s as they already have a bad imbalance?
  23. Oooh, they is teh precious!! Very sweet, and nice condition too by the looks of them. My cabling is even more hacked. Gamma cable with the bias wire cut off and bananas on the ends.
  24. Spritzer, you know where those 600s really belong I'm sure I could get them singing if you ever decide to part with them. Congrats you lucky bugger! Oh, and hurry up with those pics. I'm drooling at the thought of them. I'm wearing my 500s right now and loving every second.
