I think most of it is making harder for the assholes to copy it. Engraving all that plus the serial number in the rehaut is at least more work for the fakes.

Point and shoot camera recommendations?
Canon S100 is really nice, and there is a really cheap one for sale somewheres around here.

Actually pretty interesting reads anyway. I am really looking for something new for the everyday rotation and I am intrigued by the Ceramic bezels. Not sure I like the weird Rolex engraving on the rehaut or whatever.

Point and shoot camera recommendations?
Just sold it last week.

Some RX100 concert photos, and a random Brent photo for reference.

Big fan of the rx100 MKII or you might even look for a RX10 for all that zoom for concerts. I know, I know, budget, I don't like budgets.

Misreading that Jacob, the reason I do not have a space shuttle is because of space, not Space is the reason I do not buy Roli.

It is really a space thing for me Jacob. I came as close as I have before to buying a Rolex, all mine were gifts, in the new GMT II BLVRNWHATEVR watch,. Just couldn't do it.

The Headcase Stax thread
Ewww, I can almost hear all the grunge you will be introducing all the way over here. I am going to do something similar with a remote controlled DAC passing through the BHSE on the way to the powered speakers. I am hoping it does not amount to a pain in the ass.

What are you listening to Part the Third
I am really not sure if the file size of DSD is worth the hassle. I would definitely not buy DSD versions of things I already have in HiRes, though I am not sure anymore I would buy HiRes of things I already have on CD.

DSD Needle Drop from Acoustic Sounds.

Happy Birthday Al!
Happy Birthday Al. I assume it will be a great one as you never disappoint.

Ye Macce Threade
It does, just not sure two video cards with 12 GB of RAM and a 4k monitor are really necessary when the computer will be controlled by logmein from my iPad. Will the quality of my iPad view increase greatly with this investment?

Ye Macce Threade
Good call Stretch. I am also being sensible and trying to decide if a Mac Pro like Dan listed would be overkill for my music server in my office. Seems like it might be the fix I need for my puny Mac Mini with 8GB of RAM.

Very nice. Seems like a hell of a deal. I would hate to be a shop with some of the old Pelagos sitting on the shelf.

Big fan of that watch Stretch. I recommend you purchase immediately.

I am glad you have thought this through.

The Zombie apocalypse will come long before then Jacob.
-
Watches
Yep, I am much more intrigued by the new line of in house movements that appear to be very well built than the watch itself.
-
Watches
Movement looks to be very impressive for the price. The looks are okay but a 70 hour Power Reserve, Certified movement in a Pelagos would be hard to pass up.
- Happy Birthday Larry!

- Genital Pictures....oh, and pens
I got into pens when my office was right next to Art Brown's in NYC, which now seems to be closed. I have a lot of Montegrappa, Visconti, ST Dupont but my favorite is a restored vintage Parker 51 from Art Brown's which is awesome. I just do not bother with any pens anymore.- Genital Pictures....oh, and pens
Chris, I have a large collection of Noodlers, ST DuPont, J Herbin, Swisher and Visconti ink I do not use if you want to try out some others. With all the new FP people here I should throw up my collection for sale. That is if I can find them.- Happy 30th Birthday Fitz!
Hope it's a great one Ryan. Happy Birthday. - Genital Pictures....oh, and pens
