  1. Spotify has a Nick Cave app. It's pretty cool. You pick a theme (Love, confessional, comic, classic, murder & mayhem, heartbreak, sex, super dark [there's no 'dark', for some reason], etc.), and if you want to you can pick another theme, and then you get a Nick-Cave-approved playlist. I picked Love & Murder & Mayhem. 'cause of course, I needed something that would include, "Where the Wild Roses Grow". The fact that it included O'Malley's Bar was pure gravy.
  2. Yeah, understood. I think you'll like it, it has a vague The Knife-ness to it. Doesn't really have a groove, though, so maybe not as good, but the weirdness is pleasantly disconcerting without being painful. (Hello, Tomorrow, In a Year.)
  3. Ford & Lopatiin, Channel Pressure :b
  4. Well, in all fairness, that album is a fairly mixed juxtaposition of different sounds, not just 80's. So perhaps the album cover is fairly representative.
  5. Sent frum mah phone-blet using Tapatalk.
  6. Been there, done that, 't'was awesome. went out of my way to be there and do that, actually
  7. Wow, that last pic...if you know who that is, to see him jumping rope...it's surreal.
  8. Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, Live -- I really need to find more music like that great opening one-two punch combo of "The Answer"/"Dragonfly". Tried listening to some Trower, didn't cut it. Any suggestions?
  9. Archer, season 3 on Netflix streaming 'Pfff', I say to your 'maturing', 'pffft'. Okay, I laughed pretty hard at the Canadian terrorist/fight on top of a train/return of Babu the awesome-lot, and I didn't have another stroke, so I must be better.
  10. "The band is just fantastic, the sound is really fat. Oh by the way, which one's Matt?" Have a Cigar as done by John Foxx & the Maths
  11. Chick Corea, Touchstone Oh, wait, is that out? Never mind, cancel that... David Bowie, The Next Day EDIT #2: followed by: John Foxx & the Maths, Evidence
  12. Japanese USB DSD basis Anyone have an opinion on the DSD1794A?
  13. The baby Vaio that I just bought from Edwood is 1.2 because of the processor. (1.2, 4.2, 2.9, 2.4, 4.1) But I guess that doesn't count as a real computer then. I actually kind of prefer it that way as a portable music computer -- that way I'm not tempted to use it for anything else.
  14. Yeezh, dude.
  15. Yeah, cardiologist sounds like the right next move.
  16. Yeah, seriously, dude, you're way too young and healthy to be having that issue. Best wishes in a generally Northerly direction.
  17. How many of you heard this in Milla's voice? Sent frum mah phone-blet using Tapatalk.
  18. Is that a movie reference? Jaws 2, was it?
  19. If it was working fine up until then, then it's probably a bug someone introduced. Complain, wait until they get it fixed. Since you got it from Verizon, I would complain to Verizon. Since you got the update from Google, I would complain to Google. Also, couldn't hurt to run some diagnostics. Maybe the GPS unit in S3's are prone to failure? Did you see that page where a girl and her boyfriend got the exact same phone at the exact same time, and his still works, and hers doesn't?
  20. Hrm...ADDA is only US$3500...I can record in DSD...hrm...
  21. Caught up on Doctor Who, to the point of introduction of the next companion, Clara Oswin Oswald. I like her already. She gives great sass. I'm a sass man.
  22. Jimi Hendrix, People, Hell & Angels
  23. Happy Birthday, m'man! (party favour noise)
  24. Awesome costume is awesome. I don't know why I find this commercial so funny...alright, yes I do (slap happy == slapstick):
